You never know given the City mess. We just might.

He's Glenn Hoddle's cat! That second save is ridiculous.

Never knowingly right.

Have you got a spare £10 million, Digswell?

Well he won't be playing for Man City next season, but you would expect him to play in the Premier League next year. If we somehow went up, good chance he would come on loan to us again I think as I expect they are happy with his development.

If we don't go up, unlikely.

Signing permanently? It's good to dream!

If they get relegated and the EFL is stupid enough to let them in, he will be playing for them next season.

His stock rising fast.
Over the international break, he's has 4 consecutive clean sheets for Norn Iron.
Saved one penalty away against Georgia and had an assist against Hungary.

However difficult and however unlikely we must make every effort to sign him. We have two things in our favour. One the trouble Man City are in which could get even worse and secondly he’s with us at the moment and he’s enjoying it and we seem to be good for his career. 🤞

Strong and stable my arse.

No chance. Of course I would absolutely love if we could, but by the end of the season he will be a 20 million pound keeper.
I think the best we could hope for would be another years loan.

It's annoying, the story apparently goes that we wanted to sign him permanently but that was never going to happen once Man City came in for him. It feels like a player that they purchased as an investment rather than someone that is going to feature heavily for City in the future, that is of course unless they get relegated.

Can't afford him but don't worry....

Walsh is back next station and has a year of sitting on the bench at Wigan under his belt.

4 fantastic saves last night.

As I just said on the other thread, that felt like a win at the end.

Love the lad and a great player. Just worried that if he leaves at the end of the season, we are back to square one. I have not seen enough of Ward to know if he can step up and fill the same role. If not, our entire way of playing has to be revisited. But let's enjoy the lad while he's here. And hopefully the recruitment team is already working on a contingency plan.

Liked Walsh as a person, but I think the club and Joe himself know his time here is up.

So on a praising our current keeper thread, you felt the need to dig out a player who is not even here, but may play a role at some point in the future , and is obviously going through a rough time at the moment - classy.

He ain’t coming here . Enjoy him while we’ve got him . Brilliant keeper and character to go with him . Let’s get promoted and then we’ve got a chance.
We’re not conceding on the industrial level we normally do .
More clinical up front and we’ve got a chance .

Myke be careful I think you have quoted the wrong poster - Not sure Metalica was digging anyone out from what I can see

Certainly did not intend to dish Walsh, was meant to highlight the impact of our keeper upgrade and the progress made because of it. Feel for Walsh and know he must be going through a tough time not even making the team at Wigan while Pierce is getting rave reviews.

No chance of us signing him permanently but will definitely enjoy the season with him. The only down side is that whoever gets the gloves next season is gonna be a massive step down!

Shit but local
