where's it all gone wrong for luke freeman. can only make the bench in a struggling forest side. jesus, i'd take him back any day, sure warbs can do something with him. what a waste.
I was disappointed he went there. Obvious shambles. Mind you I suppose from a Sheff Utd POV if a Championship team offers to pay 100% of a £35k a week salary he wasn't going anywhere else.

He'd fit well into a Warbs team. I'd take him back next summer for sure, but Blades might want him in the Championship next season... they look doomed.
I don't think Wilde, who was a fan when he bought him really has given him a chance. This season it feels like Utd are crying out for a forward running midfielder who can also score from set pieces. The supply line into their forwards, who aren't all that good, is really poor this season.

He would not only have to take an enormous pay cut on what he's on at Sheff UTd, he'd have to take less than he was on here before to fit in with the structure it is now.

Yeah but apart from that why can't we get him back in?
The former Ranger still playing who I’d want back more than any other today is Luongo. He would be perfect for Warburton in the system playing alongside Cameron/Ball in the central 2. His tackling and breaking up of play would be such an addition to the team and he’d fit in perfectly.
We don’t need Freeman. We have more than enough in his position.

100% this. I loved old Mass. Best tackler in midfield since Faurlin

To ensure they keep all their many players happy they have to do a rotation system. This means a player has to sit out probably 10 games before their turn comes up again :P

Love to have him back but as Clive says money talks. If you take Hugill, Manning and Freeman, they are struggling for first team football yet they're bank accounts are a lot healthier! They obviously knew the risks of going to richer clubs might involve a struggle for first team football. As it has turned out. The three players would more than likely be involved at least 80% of the time for us. Hugill or Dykes. Hugill Manning or Wallace/ hamalinen. Manning Freeman or various midfielders. Freeman. I'd have them all in!!

The thing is though, we're trying to add value to players, so it's not just about getting points now. Although Hamalainen and Manning are similar ages, I think Hamalainen has more potential. He's got better defensive awareness, more pace and reads the game well. Manning has had more championship game time but I think longer term Hamalainen will be the more complete player.
Dykes may well be as good as, if not better than Jordan but is cheaper and has more potential because of his age. Although I agree Jordan would walk into our current team and influence games more right now.
Freeman I'm not sure about. Would he really be much better than Chair, who has scored four goals already largely from right wing? Again he's cheaper than Freeman and has much more potential being able to play with both feet and in my view less predictable. Would be better maybe than LTC but not sure he'd play the deep lying role that he's played, and again would be more expensive. Could be an alternative to Willock on the left wing but then again if we want to give our young players enough game time, he'd be a very expensive person to bring on off the bench.

Agreed with a lot of what you said last night on here and then you go and ruin it.
Is he still getting picked at bottom of the table Wednesday, that probably answers my own question. Of late, we’ve largely eradicated the pull back from the winger to the on running midfielder with acres of space, slotting home with a cigar in hand.
