Been lucky enough to do a couple of bits with him for the site over the last couple of years, and honestly I don't think I've ever met a more decent fella in football. Very giving of his time, clearly loves the club and wants it to succeed, very sharp and shrewd observer of the game. I'm surprised he did as well as he did as a manager, purely because I can't ever imagine him losing his rag with anybody.
Little story from the Patreon I did with him and Nick London at the Reading game. After the match the gantry cleared out, and Andy and I sat and did a bit of a post-match debrief recording about where it was all going so wrong for Rangers (lol). Then we're walking down the back of the gantry and Ellerslie Road together and the four paramedics who you see sitting in ER at our games atm are all there packing up and give it the big "Andy Sinton, tell me this, what the fck does Willock have to do to get in this team?" Andy laughs and says "this is basically my entire Saturday, things like this", walks over, knew them all by name, spoke to them about the game, asked after all their families, spent five mins with them, and then we continue on our way.

I do feel awful for booing him when he came back with Sheff Wed, I adored him as a player and was furious when he left, believed the bullshit about him forcing through a move
His commentary is superb, i will genuinely miss listening to him when i can go back to games. As others have said just a genuinely nice bloke. I went down to the ground to pick up some tickets a few years back and I passed him on the street and for me was very brave in saying alright mate to him and he stopped for a 5 minute chat about all things QPR, didn't have to do that. Then a week or so later on the day of the game we went to the fan zone bit and he was there, he came over and knew my name and had another chat then was great with my son talking to him. Again didn't have to do any of that but sums him up.
I did a tribute video to him on my youtube channel and his top 10 goals, links below if you want a bit of nostalgia
He walks past us in Ellerslie to get up to the gantry before and at half time of every game and I have never seen him not willing to stop and give his time to anyone wanting a word. We are very luck to have him.
Loved him as a player and think he is doing a superb job as an ambassador and co commentator on games
Seems to me he learnt a lot from the way Ray Wilkins was - in the way he asks after everyone and their families from the boot room staff to the laundry assistants as well as the players, the managers and the board.

Him and Paul Parker met me on the Qpr bit of the March for men walk a couple of years ago,he always said hello when he saw me in the lower loft when he saw me.Not that I got ever got there that early normally.
Anyone else still feel really guilty about booing him off the pitch when he came back with Sheff Wed? I feel awful.
Yep, I went to university in Southampton and used to go to watch them fairly regularly when I was down there. I made a point of booing him when he played for Wednesday against them - much to the bemusement of everyone around me.
Think Les has done a lot of good things, some not so good as DOF, but one of his best was getting Sints in. Real insight to see what someone like him can bring to a club in what was a 'created' role.
Andy managed my home town football club about 12 years ago - Fleet Town.
I managed ny sons team in the Colts and was heavily involved with Fleet town colts.
Andy was brilliant, the colts teams were always invited to be mascots for the first team and treated really well. He always had time to speak to us after the game and would often come over to the park on a Saturday morning to watch the young kids train.
He arranged a couple of Q&A nights with Ray Wilkins and Sir Les - BRILLIANT evenings and also arranged for a game of ex-Spuds players to come down an play.
Fleet REALLY miss him, never been the same without him
he spoke with all the QPR runners doing the charity run for the Community earlier this week. Was really pleasant to all of us and was encouraging us to complete the challenge (we are behind all the groups doing cycling but leading the runners)

I think the role and the appointment was actually the much maligned Ian Taylor's idea. Might be wrong.
Love him, but he ain't proper Rangers - calls us QPR all through the games, never Rangers. Really winds me up - don't think I ever heard Brian Moore call us QPR Might be a Northern thing

Sints is an incredible servant to the club. And the people who give of their time for the Community Trust, particularly Andy Evans. They are incredible people.
