Barbet was my No. 3 in POTY after Dickie and Dieng.
Playing on the left side of the three really suits him, he doesn't dive in anymore as he knows he has cover behind and it's not all on him, he also can get forward more.
But it's not just that, he's been clearing a serious amount of ball through blocks, tackles, headers or interceptions. It's been a hell of an improvement. |  |

Even on days in the first half of the season when he'd been playing badly he does seem to have that knack for seeing and putting in a vital block.
But as said, that move into a back 3 seemed to suit his game perfectly and he's excelled since then. Great to see because for a while he'd maybe been letting himself down a bit down compared to what we'd been expecting to get. Definitely proven now what he's capable of for us. |  | | |
