Can we get the UN peacekeeping mediators in to mediate between Kolli and Stephan/Nourry? Think we are going to need him [Post edited 29 Sep 10:19]

Yep, apparently injured. Paul Smyth upfront it is then. Only took until game 8 this season. Impressive!

If he had stayed ‘fit’ and with Jamaica, he would have flown back on the Thursday and been a doubt for the WHam game anyway, because of jet lag etc. Hopefully his ‘injury’ is a tactical one, like the ones Ryan Giggs used to ‘get’ which prevented him playing in Wales’ friendlies.

To be fair, a disgusting tackle in a youth game and getting injured on international duty, isn’t really something you can legislate for but get the point, they didn’t need to go early on that, as you do run the risk of it all changing very quickly

We'd already had a week where Lamptey, Dunne, Kone, Chair and Smyth had all failed to last the first half of games (Dunne managed one minute after half time). I did say at the time I'd probably have gone for a downplay and "let's see how we do over the course of the season" than describing it as "sensational" and namechecking the whole performance department. Where I do agree with him is that the schedule players have been put through to start this season is nutty and was always likely to lead to this. Millwall have got 13 out, Norwich are missing 12 including four picked up this break. Problem is this has been happening to us for three seasons now.

It also makes a mockery to limit squad sizes to 25 given how many games they are asked to squeeze into the ever growing fixture list.

It does, although how many non-parachute payment clubs at our level can afford to carry a squad of 30 first teamers? We can't for a start.
| Burrell Scores on 09:28 - Oct 1 with 1702 views | Lblock | Isn't this where you'd want to have Dev Squad players knocking on the door just to do a fill in on the bench or show their potential? We still don't seem to have that, especially up top. If all these whispers about Buzz and Kone are true and they cannot play for a few weeks then really bad news - if so and Kolli doesn't even make the squad then those who claim the higher up's have an agenda are vindicated. We'll see......... | |

Kelman was signed from Southend and never really made it . Richard Paquette played a few 1st team games, but wasn’t any good. The only other one I can think of was the late Ray Jones. I think this is a huge problem for QPR and no doubt a lot of other clubs. The upgrade of the Academy at QPR can’t come soon enough imo. Oh and some sort of Football Combination league to return so that decent prospects don’t have to go out on loan for some decent adult football games.

There's a lad with some big hair scoring for them at the moment, maybe he'll make it.

I'm with you. Handled the right way there is a hell of a player in there. On a level with other U21 players who have come through in recent years in terms of technical ability - no shadow of a doubt. Bring him on !!!

He never made it at QPR as they cashed in on him before he could get poached away for peanuts. In pre season I would have talked to him about returning on a much reduced salary, but it didn’t happen, and then he went and messed up with driving offences.
