| Deluded or what? 11:27 - Sep 15 with 5860 views | QPRSteve | Millwall manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio London: "I felt it was a pretty even game. The disappointing thing for us is the only two efforts they've had in the second half they scored both of them." Thought we were head and shoulders above them. Also didn't realise this considering all the doom and gloom on the match thread ahead of kick off. "We always lose there", etc. From BBC "The Lions continued to work hard, but a late flurry aside, Johansen's goal put the seal on a comfortable evening for Rangers who have now lost just three times in 23 meetings with the Lions." | | | | |
| Deluded or what? on 11:33 - Sep 15 with 3930 views | francisbowles | Really. I must have watched a different game. How many times did they kick the ball straight into touch? When we were pinging it about, at times, they couldn't get near us. Their solution to going behind was to bring more giants on and sling in crosses which were mostly defended well. We really should have been at least one up at ht and 4-0 or 4-1 wouldn't have flattered us. They only really had us worried that once. | | | |
| Deluded or what? on 11:34 - Sep 15 with 3933 views | Northernr | My favourite bit of the evening was him losing his sht over our subs not going off at the nearest point, and the referee explaining that they couldn't because the Millwall fans were throwing stuff at them. I swear I could see the vein on the side of his head from where I was. | | | |

| Deluded or what? on 11:39 - Sep 15 with 3887 views | joe90 | For what it's worth, looking at a Millwall forum they certainly don't agree with Rowett's view on the game. Apparently his subs were a particular point of contention. Definitely frustration among the Wall fans directed at the players and manger. | | | |

Well I presume that's why he was letting our subs do that, and he took some of the 'missiles' over there showed them to Rowett and handed them to the fourth official so I've deduced. Also, it's very funny, so I'd like it to be true.

| Deluded or what? on 12:30 - Sep 15 with 3514 views | LazyFan | Millwall didn't have Jed Wallace who always plays well against us. And don't seem to have a proper replacement hence their struggles. Like us without Willock, but way worse. I fear for when we play WBA, they have Swift and Wallace who always play well against us. | |

| Deluded or what? on 12:43 - Sep 15 with 3425 views | derbyhoop | Apart from the Laird clearance and Flemmings shot that hit the bar, did Seny have a shot to save? Maybe Cooper's effort that missed by inches. | |

Very surprised to see Millwall's possession at 58%. We have had a lot of draws with them over the years. [Post edited 15 Sep 2022 15:50]

I thought the same. I think Nick London picked up on that as well. Good bit of reffing.

| Deluded or what? on 15:11 - Sep 15 with 2858 views | Boston | Competitive match. We have more quality personnel than them and now our back line is firming up, teams that tend to play that basic 'fire the ball in and hope someone gets on the end of it', will find little success playing against us. I am far more enamored by Beale than Warburton...kiss kiss, brown nose etc. | |

Just hope the Steve Bruce Tax is still in place. 30% of everything West Brom should be producing taken off them.

I'm glad we have a manager who actually tells it like it is, unlike the ridiculously myopic Roett and the ultimately cliche-ridden/platitudinous Warburton (who, I note, has now virtually patented in interviews his 'idee fixe' that our end-of season delcine was anything between 4, 6 and 8 weeks). Despite the cynical numpties on here who try to tell you there's some professional imperative in football that makes it the case that managers have to lie on camera. [Post edited 15 Sep 2022 18:53]

Indeed. wish I could lip read. He seemed to accept the first part of the argument, but then the ref said something else and he was off on one!

Yes - tbf - look at the match thread at HT. Yes I know we're a pessimistic bunch on there, but everyone broadly agreed it was pretty even up to that point - we created the better chances - such as they were - but they had a more possession/territory if you like.

On the stream it looked like the ref held 4 fingers up to Rowett, to explain that it had happened 4 times. I didn't hear Nick say that - but that's down to me!

For only the second time in six decades I left before the final whistle. Millwall are a mess. A soporific, directionless, inspiration-free mess. A non-team, playing rudderless. timid, unattractive football. Management seem quite happy with that." Also the fella with the long throw, all his throws were foul throws as both feet were on the playing field

Throws - see other thread. Only part of each foot has to be on (OR behind) the line - so perfectly legal - common misconception. Fans are always ott - in defeat or victory. Look at some of the threads on here after our defeats this season!
| Deluded or what? on 18:35 - Sep 15 with 2145 views | ManinBlack | In response to the OP, I don't think my pre match concerns were specifically about Millwall but more our general performances in all our away London fixtures like regularly conceding three at Brentford and Fulham. Happy to see a positive away London performance last night. | | | |
