Our ability to pluck defeat from the jaws or a draw or victory. Our ability to go on depressing losing streaks. Our season in, season out inconsistency. Our incredible yearly injury list. We do have some good players. The problem is that they only have one barely functioning hamstring between them.

Apart from a few sparky results, a file-and-forget-it season in every way. Comparisons with the 1999-00 season which was also mainly midtable but with alleged instability around the club.

Varane - I still think there is a good player there. But he’s been so poor except for a few games. Hes had his chance though.
Injuries to key players - cost us big time. They need to address it. But I think we’re all getting tired of talking about it. Sort it out Nourry!
Conceding after half time - look like we’re half asleep far too often.
Inflexible - we need to adapt vs teams we are up against. 2 up front and 2 in midfield has worked…..but it’s not going to work against best sides away from home. We need to adapt vs players we are up against.
Running 2 key players into the ground- Madsen and Burrell. Everyone was saying they needed a rest otherwise they’d get injured….oh and they got injured.
Starting Esqerdinha against Ipswich. Cruel.
Dark arts - we need to do it more. Everyone else does. Wrexham at home……someone go down with head injury. Take your time. Sort yourselves out. Use “head injury” to sub a forward off. | | | |

And I’d say goalkeepers. I think that’s really hampered us this season. Not blaming the individuals but I don’t think it’s been horses for courses. Nardi not suited to Championship, Walsh insufficient game time at lower levels and Hamer too old. |  | | |

Stilll no LB that is ours.
Blooding Dev Squad players way too early.
Injuries to key players and they buying a player who got injured before he could play.
Keepers are either too young and not ready or too old and not good enough.
Midfield you could drive a cart and horses through ... multiple times.
Getting thrashed many times and proving Charity Park Rangers is alive and well.
Not beating the relegated teams home and away.

We only play in spells and patches.
Read that until the subs yesterday we were by far the better side .
That’s true , however from the 20th minute until half time we took a real dip in energy and momentum. I called it just beforehand, saying to my son let’s see if we can maintain it until half time .
We didn’t . We did what we have done so many times this season at home . Start well but then step off, drop deeper and allow the opposition to get a foot hold and build momentum of their own .
Luckily , Derby were guff in that first half and scored a lucky goal.
But we just can’t maintain it . Only half we did was against Leicester . I wonder why?
And even then we dropped off and allowed them to get a foothold of sorts (more understandable when 4-0 up I admit).
Again, apologies for banging on about the same thing but the conditioning and fitness through the last 2 seasons is and was unacceptable and the club need to pounce on it NOW, ready for next season.
You can kid us about small margins and gaining small advantages all you like , but if we ain’t fit and conditioned to deal with a Championship season , then what’s the point of it all? |  | | |

I’m even more fatigued after watching what feels like another re-run of a season.
My dad and I both agreed at lunch today, we’ll renew for next year, but if this time next season, it’s 14-17th once again, that’s it.

For early and late season games, the sun really gets in your eyes in the lower loft. I think the club need to do something about that. Have they considered changing the way in which the earth orbits the sun? If not, it's worth looking into. Either that or make all home games midnight kick off. |  |

Another diabolical turd of a season in The Championship. I struggle to actually remember which games I went to and what the score was. It's got to the point that the dozens of games over the seasons with likes of PNE, Blackburn, Stoke, WBA, Bristol City etc are coagulating into a horrible amorphous blob. I think this was exacerbated this season due to so many games being so damn dull, boring and uneventful to watch.
Look, I know it can't all be plain sailing but this relentless mediocrity is getting on my wick. It must be 600 games into this guff now? Something needs to change - we can't just continually exist season after season getting 50-something points and be content about it. | | | |
