Do we really have to? Cardiff match thread... 07:46 - Oct 31 with 45898 viewsdavman

As enthused about this one as can be.

Wallace might be back, but our best player probably won't be because the club has decided to impose the unwritten clause in a contract, which is we might have triggered a one year option, but our option for that year is not to play you during that extra season unless you commit even further to this clown show.

As always in the middle of such a run, I can't see any sign of recovery and we'll not score with this lot, so it's a case of how many for them (I'm going for 3). The usual bright start followed by an embarrassing first after 20 minutes then the traditional QPR collapse.

20th now. Suddenly 16th looks a pipedream...

Well that was entertaining, a marked improvement. Although some complete idiotic mistakes still inside the box.
Christ knows how Ralls was still on the pitch.

'You didn't know that was wrong, but now you do. If you do it again, I'll know you are doing it on purpose.'

Well thats what i call a footy game.
Well done.
But if tightening up the defence means we make more fouls inside the box and concede more penalties then we do have more serious problems waiting.
I ve been critical about chair but this was a good game from him. Dykes in other hand has not proved anything yet. But a win is a win. Cut out the stupid fouls inside the box and this might turn out to be a decent season.

Guessing from a few times he’s lashed out he might be a bit mouthy on the pitch. Shouldn’t affect the referee’s judgement but then you get a little Hitler ref and it probably does.

Just a theory as he so rarely seems to get what he should from refs.

Woolmer is the sort of vindictive small town busy body I’d expect to dislike BOS. It would not surprise me if something very basic drives his dislike of BOS, and us as a club.

Nice tribute to big bad Luke from Ilias. Lovely move that, 2 great balls from Carroll then Uncs.

Not worth getting a booking for though. Pointless gesture.

Seriously what is your problem. I mean you are always negative and then being abusive to other people. Ok in the person's reply they said fcuk off but more at your statement rather than at you personally. Deep breath mate.

For all that the penalties were beyond stupid, apart from them we still looked OK at the back.

Don't forget Smithies pulled off a good save from Albert and both Chair and Dykes very close to scoring in that first half.

Chair's best game for ages and plenty of solid performances all over the park with Kane worth a mention I think.

Shame some can't be happy when we win, but just putting those on ignore now - have no interest in reading negative stuff when we win, there's enough of that on here when we lose.

Just our misfortune to begin our push for the play offs as another lockdown looms

Out of all of the penaltys only the Barbet one today was a nailed on chance . Another point is our failure to follow up the penalty save .4 players standing on the edge of the box static ..

Yeah, I thought Millwall were really lucky to get away with it today.

Thought he missed 1 yellow in the first half.

Usual few fouls/pulls to disagree with but you never get EVERY call in any game.

Otherwise he was OK I thought.

Not if it gives Amos a lift in his recovery (he needs every morale boost going given what he's had to go through). But yes, a bit early in the game to give away a yellow. If he had turned that shot in in the first half to make it 3-0 he might have forgotten and had two yellows!

The other point is that Dieng went the right way on the first pen and got the second.

If he keeps that up it will be helpful at the rate we give them away.

Quite. Woolmer was an utter bellend throughout. Took an instant disliking to BOS, and gave him fcuk all protection. He also took a dislike to Barbet, but I can understand that...

Thought he did a lot in our favour too you know. Kane should have been given a second yellow for starters.

Always great to get a win and to be honest we never deserved to not win that.... Cardiff could have been out there all night and apart from Charity Park Rangers would never have scored
But why are we making this so hard for ourselves. The first half we looked really good and one meltdown by Barbet just destroys all that good work.
Someone posted on the Barnsley Post that we may as well let them go one on one with Dieng he would have more chance
Still a win is a win and the way we came back must make it seem so much sweeter and hopefully give us a boost

The scary bit about all the penos we have given away is that they have all been clear cut and they are being shared across our Central Defenders... Dickie brain fart last week, Barbet's slide-a-thon today - never going to win it and do not get me started on Masterson today.

Barbet deserves criticism today and he will get it, but Masterson's one was worse by a country mile. At that stage in the game, Cardiff were not threatening our goal; even if Moore had a free header there, he was going absolutely nowhere. Inexplicable. A "WTF" moment.

He has shown promise, but that was the most brain dead decision of them all.

Maybe they are trained to give penos away. I mean, we're so f-in good at stopping pens aren't we?

the amount of negativity after a much needed - and quite unlikely after 90 minutes - win, is disappointing. Do we have to be digging players out all the time?

Bloody typical! I tune in late and missed the first two goals!

Glad I stuck with it right to the end, what a screamer from Ball! I guess that makes up for the goals I missed.

So should have Ralls for that lunge on Barbet, which imo was nearly worthy of a straight red alone, then a minute later tackling from behind to stop BOS

'You didn't know that was wrong, but now you do. If you do it again, I'll know you are doing it on purpose.'

DistortR said at the start that MW had the ability to halt the bad runs, something Schteve and Ollie both had big problems with, now he needs one of those winning runs he's been capable of as well. Would settle everyone down!

Actually I don't mind that so much - clear errors by Barbet and Masterson but to blame the manager, just to 'prove' your agenda.....never understood that, never will.
