Millwall vs QPR (Match Thread) 09:53 - Dec 8 with 33559 viewsjoe90

Venue: The Den
KO: 19:45
Form: QPR D/W/L/L/L Milwall D/D/D/L/L

Big game for us tonight and a good opportunity to get 3 points on the board.

Millwall haven't won since October and their form isn't improving. I think tonight will be a case where fans in the ground are a disadvantage to the home team.

Despite our inconsistent form, we know this team can play very well, plus Millwalls form means I'm feeling confident.

3-1 Rangers with a late consolation goal from Wall.

Thomas has been useless since coming on. Looks utterly lost. Has done nothing right and basically we’ve been playing with 10 since the subs.

Bonne has barely been any better.

Thought the subs were mad at the time. No I know they were bad.

Game was there for the taking...

Poor in game management again. Poor execution when in the box again.

If that Millwall side aren’t bottom 6, I’ll be amazed.

Have Sky ever had to apologise for swearing during a game so many times before?

Tried to be supportive of Warburton but those substitutions were like an act of self sabotage

Needed a second goal, even against a team as bad them we can’t keep a clean sheet

Well I’m glad we took off Chair to remove any creativity. Wtf was that all about.

Awful decision
2 points thrown away imo

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Holy fcuk we are utter shite. This team has relegation stamped all over it. The only positives from this year has been the emergence of Dieng.

Two points dropped against a poor poor team

Would have taken a point before hand so not too disappointed but those subs!

Vast improvement since Huddersfield IMO. They all got their bollocks out which is what we were crying out for.

Bar our goal and another shot by the same player that brought a great save from their keeper that was gash.

Or not.

Kakay time wasting on the throw in, in their third, with 25 seconds left. WTF.

2pts dropped there unfortunately.
Poor game management after getting ahead

Edit
Manager included, probably the most culpable this time

Lost control of the game after substitution. Theirs positive and ours negative. No idea why u would take off our two most influential players. Chair was enjoying himself

Not sure about that I thought Millwall were getting on top anyway. That was the closest to shutting up shop we could offer. It worked just!

Take that. Stops the losing run and a much better performance after Saturday
Think we were unlucky not to win. OK we switched off for the free kick but if it wasn't for that deflection they would never had scored
So hopefully something to build on. And with fans back in the stadium Saturday quite hopeful of a good performance cand even a win

I know we are no better off when we change manager, but Warburton's showing over this run has been that of a man who doesn't want a job. WTF were those two subs taking off our best players?

Utter tool.

Can we go out yet?

Game was there for the taking. Rowett won a point with his subs while Warburton took off our best player. Willock sat on the bench for the entire match. He's not doing himself any favours.....

Thomas for chair should be a sackable offence alone
Our best player and they couldn’t handle him and we take him off for a bloke who is as fat as me after 2 lockdowns

Somewhat familiar story that...

Well done Ilias for tonight.

How the f*ck we have ended up clinging on there I do not know. Clive's line about being able to score against us almost completely by accident rings true again. Not sure they made a single chance all night, still managed to score.

Poll: And it's hi ho

Two poor sides who will both struggle this season. At least we dug in and fought but we were so on top at the start of the second half we should have been out of sight. Chair growing into the game and finding some space so why take him off? BOS awful today, Adomah or Willock should have replaced him second half. Good games for Dykes (in patches), Chair, Carroll, Barbet and Dieng. Think Dieng will be our next player to go for decent money. Bonne and Thomas both worry me - they're not getting enough game time and look well off the pace.

Happy with snapping the losing streak but that game should have been won while we were all over them.

They should have been in my front room tonight.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

A small positive from handing them the initiative with those ill-judged substitutions is that the defence had to withstand a relentless onslaught, an aerial bombardment, and they did, so hats off to them. That might help their confidence.

Mind you, we could have a couple out injured for the next game, with stiff necks.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Okay, we are a couple of good players away from being decent. Young team low wages, is what it is.
