I hope this is wrong but I'm not fuelled with optimism We need to sharpen up else this will be a cut throat time for us. Total rehaul needed on Saturday.

That will do very nicely......... after the disasters of the last few games a gritty 0-0 will be a real positive The positive for me Hamer.........he maybe not be the answer, but that defence looked so much more settled with him......he commands his box and made a couple of good save The defence well Jimmy had his best game of the season........mad dog again not the RB answer but did well Sam was magnificent.......had a tough job out there and did everything right........ Cook .........had a decent game Another positive was Chair .....another who had his best game for us this season.......got through a mountain of work and covering at the back The rest........just about decent really............ MOTM.......Hamer.........I really think he made the difference today.......

Brilliant. Not even half a season. Yes let's get rid of him and start again rather than show some faith and give someone a chance to build. In that case who would you have in to replace him. Easy to say about throwing a manager out but need to have a replacement

Someone said Jimmy Dunne can’t play at centre back. Disagree, thought he was good today.

You forgot to include 'whipping boy', a certain Mr Madsen.....played some very good football, made more successful passes than anyone on the park I would suggest, worked hard defensively, available for his team mates. Will be one of the first names on the team sheet when we next play. Well played the keeper.......as if these young lads who were being called for by posters - no chance!!! Overall, a good point against an average Sheffield United. [Post edited 8 Nov 17:27]

I get where you are coming from, they were average opposition but I thought we did well overall without being a delight to watch.....the boys worked very hard and must be very low after a few poor results and performances. Not an easy place to go either.

Totally agree. You could feel how nervous Utd were yet second half we let them onto us rather than cracking on. Those subs on 70 odd minutes made a bad situation worse and I think we are very lucky to leaving with a point. Queens Park Regression

I thought this was almost a reset. Foundation building. I liked that defence. On the whole Varane was better. Up to isn't quite ticking yet but things to work with. I'm unsure about Chair but hopefully when fully sharp (normally rake him a while) Mbengue at rb and Dunne at CB worked and a proper goal keeper

Agree.... thought Madsen had a very quiet 1st half... but certainly came into the game more.. .. And he is making a mockery of this 3 game week thing...... think has played every minute of the 3 games this week... can't remember him being subbed... but whatever.... he is certainly out best player at the moment this season

He is not going to get a game 'up top' while we are playing with one forward...... The set-up of the team today was negative......two full backs who are not forward running. in effect you have 6 players in the Team who have very little thought about getting forward or good passers. That's what happens when we are in our current run of results.

If you think that is a low point where have you been for the las ten years, or even the last fews weeks. We lost 7-1, we lost 4-1 at home, we got beaten by Vauxhall Motors, not to mention Port Vale, Port f....ing Vale. Come on get some perspective, we just drew away from home.

Sheff Utd vs QPR match thread on 17:30 - Nov 8 with 2057 views | baz_qpr | Didn't think it was too bad, got into good positions and made poor choices Burrell took a shot when he had two open for the cross. Confident team does better. Hamer did very well, Field was excellent. Kone is really struggling even when he is in the box, and frankly that's not surprising given he was non league 2 years ago, Championship is a step up and he needs to learn to find himself space. Clean sheet is basis to build on. Like everyone else I would rather see Kolli than Frey. Mbengue looks much better at right back.

I must have watched a different SU team than you today because I thought they created enough to chances to win this game and QPR are pretty lucky to get a point in the end.So many long throws and corners we had to defend and some serious blocks also they attacked us in waves but we survived. Of course we had our chances too but I cannot see Sheffield United staying down at the bottom all year

I suppose it's about standards and expeditions With this squad and how crap the championship is we should be a lot higher Look at the current top 6 awful teams yet here we patting ourselves on the back for a nil nil draw against a terrible Sheffield United team Nothing will change unless we get standards

Added pace there and that did gave Dembele changes. We will see this used again. Hamer very good, Field good, Dembele good, Burrell good, Dunne good. The rest were...meh... But I still wouldnt start with Chair. As a sub yes. And cannot see any point why Frey is still in the team. Even if Kolli is smoked out it doesnt give any right to put Frey on the pitch. Happy with a point. Both team had changes though SU was closer. [Post edited 8 Nov 17:59]

Sheff Utd vs QPR match thread on 18:05 - Nov 8 with 1517 views | W12Mikey | Apart from Southampton and (obviously) Sheffield United I think all the teams below us lost. So we are 1 point nearer to our first and most important objective - avoiding relegation. Given our recent form, that is progress, so for the moment I will be grateful for having stopped the losing streak and leave loftier ambitions for our next outing.
