As per WLS. Field to Norwich would be loan with permanent option in the summer. Derby have also made late offer

Well, if anyone is in any doubt as to whether Nourry was serious about players not pushing for the 1st team squad by 19yo being moved out then this dispels it.

Barely 18 months here and off; loan with view to a permanent. Brutal.

Poll: How is Nourry cooking so far ? 🤣

Field on the verge of Norwich, rank stupidity from us

A loan deal to boot.

Why would they loan out a player who covers 3 positions for QPR.?

It would be bad enough to sell him, but loaning him is just ridiculous uness they have someone else incoming. Varane is injured and Hayden is the only other experienced CM in the squad.

Sorry to seem Field go - think he has been excellent for us over the past few years

He was highly rated by Hearts. We need to be careful not to get the reputation of NOT giving younger players a chance.

I like Field a lot but Edwards brings arguably better quality defensive/midfield cover and I presume getting his wages off the books for a few months will help.

Hayden's performance at the weekend might have been the clincher for Field.

Left back cover still a problem though, obvs.

Loan with a likely permanent move at the end of the season.

Guessing if its £2million for 27/28 year old decent but standard championship midfielder, think that would be the reason for the deal.

I dont want Field to leave but if the above is correct or a similar sell on fee, then perhaps it makes sense.

For me, am sad to see him go and would think we have also seen the last of Sam Field in a Rangers shirt.

WLS reporting Derby came in with a late offer to buy Field, but with him already on the way to Norwich he's chosen to go there.

Really good point about Ronnie, didn't look out of place in the midfield last year vs Leeds. Be interesting to see how JS fits him in going forward

Field will be on pretty good wages as well so can see why they are letting him go

Hayden came off due to fatigue and is fine, per Julien's post match

As for the rest, I don't know, you've got a very interesting imagination as always Wombat

OK let's say that Hayden did come off due to fatigue, who will replace him on Friday if he is again fatigued?

Morgan hasn't exactly covered himself in glory in recent appearances in CM.

Plus, Field covers for RND at left back. Esquerdinha performed reasonably at Oxford, but QPR have a lot of much tougher and testing fixtures than that coming up. These include Middlesbrough, Sheff Utd, Derby Birmingham and Millwall. RND will definitely not play against Sheffield United.

ah, ok...I should have double checked...just seems like something that is very odd to make up...

Seny Dieng has failed a medical at Feyenoord.

Probably just as well we didn't sign him in the summer.

Probably clickbait, but saw some rumours on twitter we’re in for a mid from Port Vale, Rhys Walters.

I was just correcting a poster who's talking about Hayden having a "contact injury". He'll be fine for Friday and then Varane should be back in next couple weeks if the timeline remains the same. Morgan and Isak then after that

Agree about LB cover, I mentioned that in a previous post

As I said earlier he was holding his right leg before he came off so to me and the guys i sit with looked like yet another impact injury to us . Varanne has stunk the place out this season so no real rush he’s back anything soon , chair was due back Xmas wasn’t he ? The loan of field makes zero sense as plenty have said

Mbengue available Friday and hopefully new striker, both will boost the bench. 9 starters pick themselves so 2 wide men from Smyth, Saito, Bennie and Kolli. Reckon Bennie will get the nod down the right, Smyth will surely start. Can’t think of a recent season where we seem to have the cover for an injury situation like ours. Personally would rather Sam played and stayed for all the obvious reasons, LB cover almost as important as midfield Field. We obviously trust our Brazilian

Not sure it’s trust our Brazilian it’s put him the shop window a few more times ,he looked ok at Oxford as he didn’t have anyone to mark , any other time he’s looked inexperienced and should be got g out on loan

Stephan said after the game that Hayden was just fatigue and there's zero issues with him. He's fine.

The only way I can make sense of Field leaving is that Varane is due back imminently.

Yes, and Kieran will see more time.
