The 3 sides of a match thread at Oxford 09:39 - Jan 20 with 23157 viewsE17hoop

Someone had to start it.

I just reread Clive's match report for the home game and asked myself why I'm going to this again tonight.

Bare bones, DS players filling the bench, Handsome Ronnie back? He's bound to score in the 1-0 win.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

If you can't beat a team that i would say my local side Canvey could beat, I would worry, injuries or no.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Now that really was terrible. Stoke were a decent side, but Oxford, oh dear. They were there for the taking. Obviously the conditions didn't help, but I'm mystified why he left Kone on so long and took so long to make the changes.

This is like watching two blind piss heads play darts.

Or 22 people playing Round The Pole!

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Respect to those that went. Feels like the season is petering out.

I’m not sure how anyone can argue this performance here, vs the 3-1 win here last season is “progress”. We definitely look worse at football at the moment.

This was a shocking performance - don’t let the weather deflect from how poor and lethargic we were tonight against a team that will probably go down.

Well Rangers, you won't get many better opportunities than that for 3 points away from home...

Don't give me the injury excuse either, I could make a team of 5 a side ringers that would have given Oxford a game tonight.

Yeah, loads of injuries but still a good enough first team to win.

The squad is so much stronger than last year, but we seem a lot worse at the basics of football at the moment.

It just feels since the Leicester “maximum effort” win, we have been completely coasting as if “season is done”. We look to be coasting to 16th and 58 points or something.

Yep. Hard to see where the next three points on the road are going to come from. Let's hope our home form doesn't fall off a cliff now. Some toughies coming up.

Very disappointing. So little quality on show. They were really poor, especially in the first half and yet no one could really take charge enough to get us ahead. Agree we can’t carry on playing this system. It doesn’t work without Burrell.

We've obviously had worse results than that but tell me a game where both teams have been so unable to do any of the basics. Total shambles of a football match. Thank god we only play them twice a year. We are desperately short of quality at the moment. I hope this new kid can play a bit

Can’t decide if they dragged us down to their level, we dragged them down to our level, or we were both at a low level to begin with.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I'll tell you one, the reverse fixture at Loftus Road! This fixture is cursed

Well... I said on my very first post I would take a dour 0-0 again... so I guess I have to be content with that...but

That was a hard watch. OK conditions wasn't great, and yes we have injuries... but god it was dismal.

Positives... hard to pick any... definitely another clean sheet... and er .. well... yes... er....Walsh looked a safe pair of hands... and Vale's cameo was Positive... and WBA shipped 5 at home... so there are another set of fans more p!ssed than us and well that is it

Whatever said... the injury was terrible and wish the lad all the best, and Saturday is going to be a real test, Wrexham look on fire
.

May have had worse results but can’t have been many more worse performances over my lifetime of watching us.

Anyone thinking 0-0 Saturday would be a reasonable result? Bearing in mind our injuries

We started with a set of four forwards who can’t string a pass together.

We all knew with the injuries that January would be tough, and so it is. We shouldn't be surprised.

Take the point and move on.

we seem to have lost all ability on close control- every player has acquired a particularly heavy touch.. and we can't string any passes together anymore either.
barely troubled their goalkeeper and look unlikely to cause anyone too many scares .
we've gone to a place called mediocrity...

One consolation is we’re not WBA. 5-0 at home to Norwich. Only three points from relegation and -12 GD. And weirdly we’re now only three points from the play offs.

But yes it was dire and I can’t see how we can score.

What's happened to playing football on the floor , we are starting to look like a old school Wimbledon team. Utter dross !!!

Absolutely painful watch. We have zero creativity. No composure on the ball. Just lump it forward and hope for the best. Dembele is so poor. Gets worse every time I see him play. Both matches against Oxford this season have been absolutely dreadful.
