Never done this, so maybe beginners' luck ?
Another clean sheet and a 1-0 victory courtesy of a drive from a renewed Kone.

As we suspected would happen, we paid the price for not putting the game to bed in the first half.

Cue Mbengue doing Mbengue things. To go rushing in once is disappointing. To repeat the same challenge is utter stupidity.

That being said, the team only had to see out 4 minutes of injury time with 10 men. To completely lose your heads and be utterly disorganised displays a serious weakness in mentality that needs to be addressed in the summer.

We’re sacking him now are we?

Are you okay mate?

I hope not, it would be stupid even for this club.

But 1 win in 8 would be firmly in the hot seat at any other club where the self proclaimed boy wonder hadnt tied his future career to your success, and had the same boy wonder linking us to Gregory fcking Vignal on his own blog, and getting overruled when he tried to sack the manager when it happened last season…

Needless challenge by Mbengue off he goes, put us on the back foot, sloppy closing down especially for Wrexham's winner, Rathbone allowed a free hit from 20 yards. Basically we threw that game away.

Decent enough first half from us, but why oh why are we sitting off teams at home? Is it that we don’t have the players to keep hold of the ball? Are we just not fit enough and can’t press for 95 minutes? Madsen was a one-man midfield today and as the old cliché goes, if you don’t win the midfield you don’t win the game. Stick handsome Ronnie in there!

The kind of defeat that can seriously corrupt the confidence of the team for the season so they need to get this out their system mighty quickly. Particularly as it's Coventry next week!

Yea Coventry next week, hopefully our players and Manager can spend all week on the training pitch In an effort to prevent Coventry scoring SEVEN against us again.

I wouldn't put money on It though.

Personally I think at times we’re to easy to play against. We have been figured out or negated too many times.

Tend to help the opposition way more then necessary.

Hard to take that. And just up the road, Harold Wilson scored again for Fulham. He must be their number 10.

We’ll probably kill Madsen to death at some stage in a contact injury.

I was never happy with the title of this Fred. I think it set the tone from which naivety flowed.

Yet again I feel the need to fire up the searchlight with the S symbol to illuminate the skies over Spain and summon up: Spaceman_P. Again!!

In all honesty, I could live with the 2-2, I thought they were good for it… but to lose like that was a sickener.

Not throwing a tantrum though, I thought we played pretty well today, it just went against us.

Let’s move on.

I wish I could be that level headed.

I will go against the grain here and say I thought we were fantastic today

That 1st half was superb... and yes we can blame Mbengue for getting sent off... we can blame this and that... but the reality of it is our schedule

Wrexham were at-home to Norwich and then Leicester... where were we Sat and Tues ?

Then next month on Sat we are at Hull and 3 days later at Southampton thar will be nearly 400 miles of travel

Then March we have Birmingham on the Tue and Leicester on the Sat...

This will be 3 months running where 2 games in a 3 week game we are away... this can't be right....

We just run out of steam it is as simple as that... I don't blame the players...they gave absolutely everything today... and I'm guessing they are more p!ssed than us

I'm fcuking fuming over this inane scheduleing we seem to have, not at the players

We really are an embarrassing club. Wrexham just the latest club to go hurtling past us. The idea that next season is going to be the one lol

And, do you know what else pisses me off.... we have given them one of those moments, you know, one that they will speak of forever... 2-1 down, injury time, blah, blah fukn blah. We've gifted them that over us for ever...

That’s got to be the most defeatist post I’ve ever seen. You think we were fantastic and it’s the schedule to blame? You do understand all football teams have a difficult schedule. Have you seen how poorly we play against ten men? And now how poorly we play with ten men? It shows we aren’t coached properly and our mentality stinks. A fan accepting that today was acceptable is very worrying.

I would question the keeper for the last two goals and Kohli not controlling the ball and letting it go for a throw in a half for the last one
Pig sick
Also well done to the ref for not even booking their right back despite committing half a dozen fouls

Would definitely agree that Walsh made some very good saves today but also could have done a little better for all of their goals. Not sure about Kolli, technically you're right but unless the subsequent events lead to a goal (which they did) then nobody would ever mention that mis control again. Plenty of chances to stop it after that

First impressions:

Goal 1 - his set-up's a bit low, but I don't think any keeper's saving that.
Goal 2 - Foul on the keeper, poor protection by Dunne, but I still think he has to punch harder than that.
Goal 3 - Lots of movement on that ball. I'm 50/50 on this one.

He wasn’t at fault for any, but some love a witch hunt...
My biggest gripe is why is a player unmarked 12 yds out in the middle of the goal when we had 2 more players in the box..
Third was just sitting too deep
Dunne should do much better for the first, but he had a great game bar that

For every Birmingham there’s a ….

Defeatist...it is far from it...were you there today?

We have an injury list... look over our schedule over the year and tell me how many 3 games weeks till today we have 2 away games.

Today that team gave everything... I will never forgive a team that doesn't try... that don't give a sh!t ... but when they leave everything on the pitch and loose like that I can't blame them

I guess you are some kind of superman that can keep standards high when your absolutely out on your legs... well done you then

The first yellow card for Mbengue was hard to understand. He didn’t hit anyone and he didn’t stop their player, so it’s no surprise he reacted to what looked like a poor decision from the referee.
That said, the second yellow was completely unnecessary and ended up costing us. He really has to be smarter in that situation.
What is really frustrating is how we lost control of the game that late on. With so many experienced heads out there, that’s exactly when we should have seen better game management. This was the moment for a bit of proper Championship know‑how — slowing things down, running the clock, breaking up the flow and using a bit of shithousery to see it out. Our experience from so many years in the Championship has to show in moments like that against a team just coming from Leauge One.
The referee was frustrating to watch throughout. It still baffles me how their right‑back avoided a booking. He was shoving players at pretty much every corner and making foul after foul, yet somehow escaped without a yellow card.
Now it’s about pulling ourselves together and focusing on the Coventry game. At least it’s not a midweek fixture, so there’s time to reset properly. Next weekend is a great chance at redemption after todays misery and the 7-1 Coventry disaster.

I don't think he takes all the blame for any of them but I think all of them were saveable, whether you want to say thats with a bit more luck or with a bit better keeper is up to you.

Gets best at his near post for the first, a tough shot but the saying is always a keeper should never get beat at his near post for a reason.

Also made a couple of excellent stops and deserves the credit for those
