One player that hasn’t been mentioned much that I thought made a difference was Smyth over Saito. Without scoring or getting an assist I thought he worked really hard closing people down and getting us up the pitch. He won a couple of free kicks and got some challenges in as well He also did a decent shot that led to the corner for our third goal. I think Leicester have appealed that the punishment is too harsh.
Also that the EFL have appealed that the punishment is too lenient! |
How the English football authorities can punish ANYONE whilst Man C have 115+ unresolved charges in front of them and other plastic teams can sell hotels bought by immoral (illegal?) Russian roubles to balance their football debt says everything you need to know about the corruption at the highest level.
It is the Premier League that has appealed the decision wanting a harsher penalty. The appeal will probably find that QPR's £43m fine was too lenient and we'll have to pay Man C's legal fees.
I am utterly amazed (but not really) that this is so clearly getting brushed under the carpet so easily. |  |

I thought there was a big improvement from some of the recent games I have been to. I thought we rode our luck at Charlton in the first half and found the Blackburn and Sheffield United games just awful. I was so happy for the players and you could see how much it did for their confidence and energy.
I agree that you can only beat what is in front of you but Leicester were exceptionally poor Our players had space and time that some of the well organised and hungry teams deny us. Reading the Leicester forum could be like this one of recent weeks! Our passing was still not great, but better, still not able to be creative in the absence of Madsen and Chair but lots of commitment and energy, trying to play to the strengths of players, rather than try to replicate what we do with better players.
I hope that having broken the run, we can get a result against Portsmouth, they I suspect will be a tougher nut to crack but if the confidence remains high we should win.
Lastly, I think Walsh will be a good keeper and I hope with QPR and Edwards was simply outstanding. | | | |
