With the usual caveats about "this is QPR", this threatens to be the dullest summer transfer season in years. And that's a good thing. With Kember here, its conceivable (not necessarily likely, because, yes, we are QPR) we simply now sign a goalkeeper and a defensive midfielder. And if they were both good, I'd be delighted with that. We finally seem to be in a place where we need a couple of additions, not a new team. That is surely progress.

ps: not a rumour (so apologies) and more an observation - did anyone see Zidane Iqbal for Iraq against France last night? Defensive midfielder, great tackler, but so calm and good on the ball considering he was up against some of the best players on the planet. From the Man U youth academy and born and raised in the UK. Anyway, the commentator said he was being released by Utrecht.
Don't have a clue how he performs in the Eredivise and maybe his wages are obscene but I wonder if he is someone we could look at?

Attitude problems keep him out of his team apparently... But could do well for us of course.

I have not seen this anywhere but having looked at the youtube reel, he looks like a man mountain for a centre mid.
Interceptions and tackling ability shown but at the start of the video, thought he came across as a bit of a bumbling lump, but perhaps this video is over time, because later clips, he seems deceptively fast for his size.

I read somewhere that the Portsmouth deal fell through due to wage demands, but that said, he did appear to have a bad knee injury last season.
Yeah Portsmouth News said it was a knee injury last December which made him miss two months of the season, so probably not major, we took Harvey Vale on when he had an injury and that so far seems a bit of a success, we just need the medical team to do a decent assessment, fingers crossed.
