Today summed up the lack of respect we are showing to end of the season with changes for changes sake, which ultimately ended up with us finishing the game with 10 men.
Yes I do get it is giving the manager the opportunity to blood youngsters to see how they cut it but pre season friendly is the place for that.
The 1st half performance was good with some good performances from players I have been critical of in the past Bennie and Morgan.
It is was it is.
I would say the season has been typical of a middle of the table team with the good being very good and the bad being very bad.
The Madsen injury affected us badly and we naturally dipped a bit then and struggled.
Next week I would imagine will be more of the same and £43 a ticket is a joke.
Has it improved from last season….i think so!

Totallly agree, but I think it's pretty obvious after his comments this week where Monsieur Julian stands on all these brilliant prospects we've got.
Still picking Rhys Norrington Davies at left back rather than Esquerdinha, for example - utterly pointless, short term emergency cover loan who's going back to Sheffield next week. But the manager knows the alternative is nowhere near.
His interview comments this week were very, very clear for me. Warburton and Cifuentes all over again.
And as long as you continue to shoot the messenger you'll be failing to address the message.
I agree we need a decent keeper. I really think we’ve lost a number of points this season as a result. The extended highlights commentator said several times their keeper kept them in the game. Ours certainly didn’t. Not sure why Nardi came back for that match? Maybe because it’s his last one for us to say goodbye?
Desperately unlucky again with the injuries to players who’d come on as subs. After the Millwall match where we looked much better with Madsen, Chair and Burrell on the pitch I get the changes. But frustrating nevertheless. Unfortunate that Mbengue also needed to come off which left us with ten men after the others also needed to leave the pitch. I don’t think Burrell’s was bad as he didn’t look as upset as Poku did. Hopefully just a twinge but I don’t want to see him at Ipswich.
But looking back at the highlights we really did dominate in terms of chances made. The commentator was also clear on this and seemed to think we were unlucky to lose the game.
One thing that’s clear is where we need to bolster the squad. I’m glad some of our young players have had some decent minutes on the pitch. Should be useful for them next season. Don’t think Adamson can be back up FB though and we definitely need one if not two LBs. We missed Jimmy today, particularly in the last ten minutes.

Broken record time but either Poku, for example has something genetically wrong with his hamstrings which should have been picked up by our medical team , he doesn’t look after himself how he should (his reaction on Tuesday suggests that’s not the case) ….or our medical team and all its different titles and divisions are simply not fit for purpose and the club has to act as soon as that Ipswich game is over . But what’s just as annoying is we know they won’t ! They’ll spin figures and data , as they did last year, as Mr Williams did with the pitch nonsense, as they’ve just done with some of the season ticket prices (it’s all the fans fault apparently ) etc etc etc and on and on we go .

I am heartily sick of how this club treats cup games, London derbies, and now the new phenomenom, the last few league games once we've scraped safety from relegation. I have never known this club to be so unprofessional as it is right now.

Positive advice about the state of someone’s hamstring doesn’t automatically mean they should be selected. There are other factors to be considered. That’s the managers job.

I took that to mean that they should have said certain players need a rest eg Burrell, Madsen, Chair. But we’ve made the same mistakes again. We’re playing Poku 2 games on the trot and now Burrell is being overplayed when he’s clearly not alright. Fine, mistakes happen, but if we continue to make the same ones over and over again, then it’s time for there to be some people held accountable.

Yeah Nix, got to agree with Mart here. These injuries have gone beyond “unlucky”. And it annoys people because it is making such a huge difference to our results.

Cam Thomas - Missed 57 games. Played in 30% of games. Dennis Schroder - Missed 54 games. Played in 34% of games. Cameron Johnson - Missed 25 games. Played in 70% of games. De'Angelo Russell - Missed 53 games. Played in 35% of games.
They missed 189 games between them. Playing in well under half their games (42%).
If you’re not uncomfortable that he’s consistently been patronising with pretty much everything he’s said since he arrived, if you’re not uncomfortable with him publicly padding stats / outright lying about squad availability, if you’re not uncomfortable with him having a hand in the Lower School end ticket sales or the U25 concession scrapping, if you’re not uncomfortable with his reputation amongst staff and players, if you’re not uncomfortable that some of our players are seeking private fitness trainers because they don’t believe in Williams… I cannot imagine for a second why you wouldn’t be uncomfortable with his proven track record of ensuring athletes spend a lot of time on the sidelines.
This stuff is not acceptable and he’s accountable. Enough’s enough now.

Not arguing with you on the injuries. You’re right. Not unlucky. More frustrating but predictable. We HAVE to do better next season. And if it means sacking those responsible then we need to do that.

You said yourself that we need to be making 10 m sales every year, or at least every other year, to gradually become competitive (and sustainable) while keeping within FFP guidelines. These two (and Kone) are the only ones that fall into that bracket (it sure as hell aint Varane) and as they had been out injured for a while, perhaps Nourry felt the need for possible suitors to see them back in action?
