I was struck too by the turn and play from midfield which seemed to have progressed from last season where only Nico seemed to have mastered it. I hope they continue with that as it certainly makes us look less ponderous than we can do at times. |  | | |

Absolutely loved that. Agree with all of the match analysis, but loved the scene-setting, observational/anecdotal stuff just as much.
Didn’t take me long to laugh out loud either (the fourth paragraph, to be specific, with the remark about Taylor Richards tying up his bootlaces while defending a counter attack).
Had no idea David de Gea was in goal for Fiorentina in the first half. Sitting far away in the Upper Loft, my eyesight simply doesn’t allow for that sort of detailed observation, and the keeper that appeared in the second half certainly wasn’t the former United ‘gloveman’ (to coin a phrase). Even I could see that.
