Doesn't exactly sound convinced about Morgan. Just get the feeling that this season is make or break for him. Alemayehu was on the bench ahead of him at Portsmouth as well which is quite telling.

I wouldn't have thought Kamara is fit for 90 mins yet. Need to fit him in gradually. Came on at 58 on Saturday, did really well. Similar or slightly longer next match and then the following week he may be ready to start and be subbed around 75.

I think he had a good first season given his age and experience levels. He hasn’t really progressed and that is a tough one. I think he had a good first season given his age and experience levels. He hasn’t really progressed and that is a tough one. Under no circumstances should Morgan be "written off" by anyone - he did sort of burst onto the scene and was a breath of fresh air. He'll be a player for sure and I hope he fufills that promise here.
I have to disagree on "we shouldn't be treating him as a 1st teamer" IF you are referring to the squad? He most certianly is and should be considered part of the first team squad. He's done the hard yards, racked up the minutes and done the ceremonial trainign ground walk to much fanfare. This stories need to be lauded and encouraged if we're a pipeline club. The lad got where he is by demonstrating his qualities, that needs to be nurtured and not pushed to the side.
Now, whether he makes the matchday squad is a question of the form of those around him and his own.

By "shouldn't treat him as a 1st Teamer" I was probably being sloppy in my language - I don't mean he should be got rid of our consigned to the Dev squad.
But I do think that he's not first choice in any position right now so we need to think whether he's best used as a squad player, not necessarily getting into the match day squad let alone starting, or whether that role could be better given to one of the lads who impressed in pre-season and instead let him play regularly somewhere he can hone his game.
Got to be the right sort of loan though, there's no point in him racking up games at a lower level than he was playing at two years ago unless it's in a progressive side that plays something like the style we would want him to here.

Cirkin seems many weeks off, like Lampety. I would prefer JCS or Larkeche at LB; Adamson is not an LB and will get caught out against tougher oppo.
Adamson played very well on Sat, but I suspect that was because the oppo wasn't that great, rather than him becoming a Champ LB.
JS says he's a RB, but I would like to see him at DMC, as Adamson's passing seems quite decent and he has the legs to get about them.
Madsen and Kamara, fitness-wise, seem to be subs at best. So, I suspect it will be Varane and Vale in the middle against Bolton. Which will allow Edwards to partner Dunne in defence and let JCS move over to LB, which he's played before.
I am also guessing JS will also change it to Burrel and Kone upfront, as he may suspect Bolton might be very defensive against us and will want to surprise them. For the wings it may be Chair and Poku. Saito will be the surprise dropped player, which will be unusual; as if you score, JS usually keeps you in the team.
Morgan I like as a young player, gets about, scores the odd goal. I would not loan him out just yet, as the Champ can be a brutal season. We are already down two injuries with Kemper and Madsen, and only one game in. We may need Morgan as a useful squad player, as he can play 6,8,10 and even RB if we get desperate.

Yeah when I heard the pod he came across quite positive on Morgan, but also he's honest that he's a young player with aspects of his game to improve.
For me, if Morgan can put on some muscle (and therefore become a bit more physical in his game) he could quickly find himself being a starter for us.

Yes I’m a bit confused about why it’s considered a bad thing to go out on loan. Harry Kane went out on loan…Les Ferdinand went out on loan, Kyle Walker seemed to do pretty well after his loan spell with us, as did Andros Townsend. It’s just a chance to play more regularly than he’d get at QPR, it’s not a poor reflection on his abilities or potential.

A loan is exactly what he needs. He is only 20. It’s win-win then: if he absolutely nails it in 30 matches in L1 then he either comes back to us as a member of the squad or he gets a decent move and we make some money. If by some chance he doesn’t make enough of an impression we will have our answer on him. But too early to be making categorical judgements on him IMHO. Passing needs to be improve.

Fun to watch/slightly terrifying.
He picked up the very early yellow for butchering a man, but after that he was pretty solid and risk free I thought. Managed his game well, didn't dive into challenges he otherwise might have been tempted to. Also won a lot in the air which was very helpful, either long balls from their keeper or from out wide. I'd see him there again until Madsen is back fit, provided JCS can still walk.

Yeah Coventry away in Beals last game JCS was at left back. I was there to witness it and it was pretty disastrous. Completely different skill set required for full back and I don't think putting him there again is a good option.
