They actually remind me more of the Hughes team. Said to my spurs mate during the summer that I reckon you could be in trouble and how you remind me a lot of us - I.e. just survive, spend a lot and then go down. If I remember, Hughes came out with some rubbish about never being in this position again or something, after the Man City game. Lo and behold we started the following season struggling to win a game, nearly braking a record in the process and had wasted a shed load of money in doing it - sounds familiar.

They were much more successful on the pitch with Levy and Spurs fans annihlate Levy on a regular basis for not getting the cheque book out to build the squad, but hey look, what has happened next.
Focussed on being solvent, whilst getting funds for ultimately is a fantastic stadium. But now with him gone they are failing miserably when compared to Levy's reign.

My wife and older son support Spurs and, between us on this board as they'd kill us, my younger son and I often exchange sly grins whenever Spurs mess up. We both quite like Spurs but it's never not fun to see one of the bigger clubs failing and they might just be at serious risk of relegation this time around. |  |
