| QPR apologise to Luton fan's family on 17:36 - Dec 30 with 8002 views | Superhoops2808 | I just had a personalised email Brian As a club we are contacting you in the hope you can assist us. We are looking to identify a 'fan' who submitted a derogatory message about a seriously injured opposition supporter which was displayed during half-time of Thursday evening's fixture with Luton Town. We are also aware an individual filmed the message being displayed on the big screen from the Lower Loft. If you are able to supply any information regarding this matter it would be greatly appreciated. This can be done anonomously via 07557 435421. Thank you again for your continued support throughout 2022 and we look forward to seeing you in 2023. | | | |

| QPR apologise to Luton fan's family on 17:44 - Dec 30 with 7885 views | ParkRoyalR | Saw that message last night and thought that does'nt look right as thought first name (Brian) is too much of a coincidence with lad who got injured, They dropped the second 'b' with the phoney surname which is why it probably was'nt picked up by our staff, just moronic behaviour. | | | |

I think literally everybody who's ever been to a QPR game has had that email this evening. I just got a message from an old work colleague we took to a game back in the Prem days who hasn't even been with my company for six years who's had one asking what it's all about.

Your joke is in bad taste. Thought it was quite obvious but probably explains why you thought it would be a good thing to say. Oh well

I don’t think we always need a whipping boy. Message was very subtle and would easily be missed amongst lots of requests. I missed it first time round. Blame lies with the arsehole who sent it in and the tiresome hooly element who revel in this bollocks. [Post edited 30 Dec 2022 22:43]

Why is that relevant in any way whatsoever?
| QPR apologise to Luton fan's family on 10:16 - Dec 31 with 4383 views | BrianMcCarthy | There's two things here, I suppose. Firstly, the incident itself. I have no knowledge of the occurrence, bar rumour and innuendo, and it could have been self-defence for all I know, so let's park it. Secondly, putting a message up at Loftus Road in front of possibly his family and friends is the kind of sneering crap that used to go on in the 70's and 80's. It's vicious, it runs the risk of riling up Luton fans (and God knows that's unnecessary) and it besmirches the name of QPR. I see no excuse for it whatsoever. | |
