Did they compare it with the seats at HQ as well as the jet ?
I think the worst ex Flag carrier for legroom is probably Iberia, which is part of IAG with BA so maybe that’s part of the measurements.
I’m about 6ft and basically can’t sit in their ‘normal’ economy seat without cramping up or doing a Hammy in 90mins. |  |

As a fairly seasoned business traveller, BA has been diminishing as a product for years now. To be honest, as long the flight is on time i don't really care on short haul. Even the Avios programme which has kept me in 'free' flights for years has been devalued.
But they're still better than easyjet, ryanair and charter flights on short haul. And worse than most (except US carriers) on long haul. |  |

For me, BA's problem: they don't know who they want to be better than and they've chosen Ryanair or United.
I used to fly a lot between LHR and Toulouse and consider myself lucky because nearly every time I flew, I chatted to someone either on the flight or in the queue, whose flight had been cancelled and BA's customer service thereafter was poor.
Odd qiven IAG's other main airline is Qatar, who I used to fly a lot on and their service and reliability was near perfect. BA used to be really good, but they need to up their game. |  |

For me, BA's problem: they don't know who they want to be better than and they've chosen Ryanair or United.

Sounds like Qatar really screwed themselves with Airbus based on A350 safety complaints, then ordered a load of Max 737s when their Neo order was cancelled.
If I had to choose long haul, it would be Emirates where possible. Singapore a close run second.
Not sure how Emirates will manage the loss of the A380 and all the facilities they developed around it. That will be an interesting shift in many aspects. | |

Not been on EA or SA for a while, however, with a significantly numbered birthday approaching, heading east on the former. See if it's still up to snuff and how it compares to QA.
Think the former CEO of QA, the feisty Mr Al Baker, also admitted QA rue getting the A380s. If where I am and want to get weren't issues, I'd be going Oman Airways and stopping in Muscat and not Dubs for my connecting flight. Cracking airline, and a much more interesting destination, too. | |

Fly BA a lot for work, absolutely terrible gets worse every year. Did a long haul to San Diego a couple of years ago on a seat that would barely be fit for a bus let alone a 14 hour with one leg being overnight. Bearable if you go premium economy. Its the one thing I like with the A380s at least they are comfortable, the newer the plane the less comfortable it is |  | | |

Flown BA a fair few times without complaint, Singapore Airlines were excellent, I've flown Ryan Air also a fair few times without complaint, I found American Airlines to be hectic.
Easy Jet Is also another carrier I've used without any problems. |  |
