Another incredible report, not just 48/48, but probably closer to 1000, and each has been some level of insightful, cathartic, funny, joyous or maddening - giving us all much needed camaraderie as we navigate the curse of following a uniquely dysfunctional club.
I've known you a long time now, and have seen closer than most what goes into this level of consistency. It's a gift for all of us to have someone with your ability and work rate, that I imagine is ten fold for any ex-pats or further flung R's that don't get that weekly fix of seeing QPR live.
While we get to sit back and enjoy, I know you also have to wade through abuse, trolling and pure stalker mentalists, but I think I speak on behalf of 99% of regular readers (hello to the other one) when I reiterate how lucky we are to have one of the best football writers in the country putting out meaningful content just for us. Similar to Dave and AKUTRs, it's another little niche thing that we can point to that separates us, and makes QPR special.
When the tank is low and the little rats chew close to the bone, I hope you can fall back on the knowledge that your work is noticed, appreciated, cherished, celebrated, unrivalled, and to a lot of people, absolutely necessary.

The mid section especially of this report is up there with some of the best stuff you have written .
You said in the preview (I think) that (paraphrasing somewhat ) you didn’t want to always write angry. But its where the gold is 😀
Have a great summer break well earned , but on behalf of myself and I think many others , never stop .
I know that some , for various reasons that I respect , weren’t too bothered about yesterday .
I just couldn’t help being infuriated and once again a little embarrassed . And I was at home , never mind stuck in that away section.
It’s not getting beat, it’s the way you lose and we are a little bit of a laughing stock and have been for a while .
Please, please , as fans we must stop accepting it .
You read Clive’s last couple of paragraphs there and yet lots of fans still think we have seen significant improvement and it’s been a “really really good season”.
I’m not just having a go at the present CEO or any of the people he had brought in .
It’s been going on for years. Decades .
Demand better standards .
Demand answers and action on mentality, fitness, conditioning, communication, aims, budgets, plans, methodologies……on and on .
It’s not all bad . There are some seeds of growth but to me, they are mainly fluff compared to us having a competitive team on a Saturday afternoon . A team we can be proud of . A club that doesn’t play a youth team even though 2000 fans take 2 days off work to go to and from
Plymouth for example .
Everybody here needs to do better . If that’s me being patient with a young player or board members making decisions that benefit them , then we can all improve .
And improvement is imperative. We can’t be in the position in 12 months time .

Thank you Clive. You've managed to report things that I hadn't spotted, in Belgium, on the stream. It was even worse than I thought. The only small consolations were that we avoided another very heavy defeat, which looked like it would be the outcome after ten minutes. The others were Smyth's efforts and Alemayehu who looked tidy and comfortable on the ball.

On the broader QPR situation - I’ve been supporting Rangers since 1974. I think that this is the dullest and least engaging period of football that I can remember. Plus it’s deeply frustrating to boot.
I never look forward to the summer, and a period of no football
, but this time I am. Plus we all know that the c*&t in the Whitehouse is going to ruin the World Cup.
Then to put the cherry on the cake my season ticket that I’m sure was significantly under six hundred quid last year is now £649 as they’ve ’recategorised’ some seats. Thanks for that. |  | | |

I just felt embarrassed by what we did yesterday. I mean as a fan you laugh it off and you had plenty of humour in the away end having a go at poor old Michael Van Gerwin in the home end (I thought he looked more like Sloth from Goonies) and singing about going to Spurs next year but on the pitch that was a shambles.
All i wanted was to see us compete, be hard to beat and make Ipswich work for it. We were atrocious from the first kick to the last of that first half. Second half marginally better but Ipswich had long since stepped off the gas. Players like JCS and Varane should be embarrassed by their performances, Varane almost came to blows with Smyth after the 3rd goal, was quickest he moved all afternoon.
There are no standards in this team, no players telling others off or organising themselves without the likes of Dunne or Smyth on the pitch. The keeper never says a word. We are just so easy to beat, we seem to pick and choose which games we might try in, when we don't fancy it we get a good hiding. We're lucky that was only 3.
Another season over and despite what they will tell us about how great it all is and how much progress we've made we are miles off being a good side whi can compete at this level.
Finished just 3 points above Portsmouth, 11 points from relegation and that was thanks to a couple of points deductions, 15 off the playoffs and 11 off 8th place which will be the playoffs next season. All in a season where the likes of Norwich and Sheffield United finished above us despite giving us a half season head start |  | | |

The stats at the end of your report are damning and yet we seem to post them on the door every year with a 'matched' tick next to them. We can't match other teams for signings despite spending £4.5m on Edwards. Roughly what you would pay for one of Haaland's toe nails... on his standing foot.
We've just got to hope that players like Mbengue, Morgan, Kone, Burrell, Kolli, and the Temu hamstringed Poku and Dembele have learnt enough from this season to go up a notch next? Or at least manage to stay upright for 2-3 games in a row.
We do have some decent players to build a core around. Dunne, Edwards, Madsen, Chair, Smyth, Kone and Burrell but we also need some experienced solid Warnock style 'bastards' to bully the middle of the park. Also, for me Smyth should be captain in Dunne's absence. I am sure Edwards will be a great skipper but Smyth leads by example and experience.
We certainly need a time machine with the door open for Hill and Derry. A lot of what this team lacks is muscle and old head experience. Building a team around kids is not how you stay in the Championship. Integrating them into a much more experienced superstructure, much more likely that they succeed. Love the idea of the coaching staff watching the snooker on their laptops, to be fair those semi finals were top notch.
Anyway, three beautiful months ahead. Travel, watch other sports, Wimbledon, the golf, the horses, cricket, a World Cup, all things where we can free our minds of Queens Park Rangers and mentally prepare ourselves for the next fiasco they’ll inevitably bestow upon us.

Seems more and more realising there are no standards at the club and haven’t been for just over a decade.
To anyone who says the process takes time, I say - bollox.
We’ve proved it can be done in quick smart time.
Case in point is the total pivot the club took when appointing King Warnock.
To anyone who says it’s down to the budget, FFP etc, I say - bollox.
Numerous clubs of our size, stature and ownership wealth continue to motor past us.
Yes, money is a huge huge help but we’ve proved it doesn’t guarantee success.
