As a young kid when I was about ten years old, I vivdly remember one game where this man had a toddler on his lap, three years old maximum and the amount of times he uttered the C word at our players , their players and the ref. Almost every alternate word that came out of his mouth and with intense hatred also.
One as a little kid myself, I was disturbed by this, but even myself as a young kid, I worked out thats really not a great example for any kind of child whatever the age. [Post edited 22 Aug 18:24]

Once, a group of teenage Rangers from Wembley, were accompanied to a home game by one of the groups fathers. He was also an R but hadn't been for many a year. The lads stopped off for some refreshment, the parent hadn't been out for while so enjoyed a few pints. Needless to say, pops became belligerent in the ground, to players, away fans, home fans, in fact anything that moved. I texted the number the club advertise - 07557 435 421 - explained what he was doing and they came to him a bit later, took him downstairs and had a word with him. Well managed and definitely worth doing if people are out of order.

As most know on here, I have only being to Loftus Road a couple of times. One time was early 2004 we were in League 1 (dates may be hazy) We were in the family enclosure as I had my young daughter with me. There was a guy with his son who was about 7. He spent the entire game abusing both teams, using every curse you can think of. A black player for Oldham came over to take a throw in or a corner and to say your man racially abused him is putting it mildly. Slightly different times (but not the dark ages by any means). I understand your point but I dont think it should be. Calling everyone a fat C*nt or a Pu**y so that everyone can hear it in surrounding 50 metres isn't great

There was another blue-on-blue mini ruck in the Loft standing yesterday. That's the third time in a couple of years, when I reckon I saw nothing of the sort in 40 years prior. I guess in the old days you would just move away from any morons. I remember a couple of seasons ago sitting next to a young family mum and dad with two kids about 4 and 6, and they brought with them a little picnic. Kids sat there eating jam sandwiches . True story. They didnt eat their crusts though, and chucked them on the floor for me to stand on. Little barstewards.. its behavior like that ,that should be stamped out of the game!..

There is probably little that can be done about the language except, perhaps, when it is racial abuse. The supporters with limited, but colourful, vocabulary are a reflection of the world beyond Loftus Road.
As for bringing very young children into that environment, I do not understand it. I did not go to a professional match until I was 10 and I did not go to Loftus Road until I was 12. Up to the age of 10, I would not have been able to see very well from the terraces, nor would I have understood enough of what was happening on the pitch.
If you bring a child to a match before they are able to appreciate it - even in a limited way - you risk putting them off repeating the experience. As for bringing a babe in arms... ??? | | | |

Exactly what I said to the unhinged moron sitting behind me at the Millwall game. He had spent the entire first half - and much of the second - screaming and shouting at Richard Koné, pissing off everyone within a twenty yard radius.
The abuse was appalling, stopping just short of actual racism in my opinion. There were several new supporters with young kids in tow too, who were clearly upset and embarrassed by his behaviour.
In the end I turned round to ask him to rein it in and maybe think about supporting his team (having first enquired whether he actually was a QPR supporter). Needless to say both barrels were then launched at me with the idiot trying to flip the cap off my head with his fingers for the next ten minutes.
