With apologies to that geezer Tennyson.
Anyone think we'll get anything ?
They won't be as rough as Wall.
2-1 to us.

No, no, Bri.

Remember that apparently he slows the game down, can't finish 1 on 1s and won't get in this team with all the attacking options we have.

Continues to be the best player we have by a country mile despite contrary opinions on here...

You did see his 1 on 1 last night?

We made the end of the match more difficult than it should have been, but upto the 88th minute Swansea didn't have a chance.

We've played 5 of the teams in the top 6 & have beaten 3 of them, but have only managed 2 draws against teams in the bottom 4. I've no idea what to expect against Derby!

We can contain and can break, which is why we win more with less possession. Could be why we do better against better teams who like to dominate the ball.

Standoff QPR with a "come on then, play through us" is probably a very good tactic...

Can we go out yet?

I noticed Tylon Smith was in the travelling squad yesterday .

Might be looking to cover Jimmy with one of the other centre backs (Mbengue perhaps ) at some point .
By some accounts Jimmy has been carrying an injury of sorts for 10 or 11 months .

...and yet we resigned him.

Sensible if true...

Would say he was behind the likes of Madsen and Saito for that accolade at the moment.

Really pleased with the win and us football fans are a bizarre bunch as I did think we made a right meal of it and could easily have thrown away the 3 points. How I am thinking that about a 1-0 win away at Swansea on a Wednesday night barely eight weeks after Coventry, I have no idea. Talk about expectations changing - all credit to everyone for that.

Impressed with Madsen's improvement and Saito is really important to us. Two more things I didn't think I would be saying just a few months ago, which proves I know nothing about football. I'm not giving up on Dembele either, lovely pass through today, even if he did have his total-waste-of-time longshot too.

Chair has looked very sharp. Should score that very simple 1-1 though. But he’s been excellent. Been everywhere and he’s playing the pass early which has been great and we’ve looked so much more dangerous as a result.

But Kone has been poor, Dembele wasteful, and we’ve looked haven’t killed the game off.

Excellent pass from Dembele to Chair though, timed to perfection. Good save from their Keeper.

Sky Bet posted that QPR had taken 19 points on the road since the start of April which is more than any other club. I am guessing this is any other English club.

I did a quick check on the results and apart from the Coventry brain fart we have been excellent on the road.
This seasons home form has also improved and hopefully we can find some balance with the team rotation.

Away 19points Played 9 W6 D1 L2
Home 10points Played 9 W2 D4 L3

Look a good side. Last night shouldn't have been as nervy at the end.

Got a good squad now. We definitely can compete

Eight years as our top assister, goalscorer, and our longest serving player undone by an atypical miss in a game we won anyway.

Get rid.

Mentioned on another thread but seeing it on the highlights, I thought it was more a smart save than a bad miss (like er, Varane). Sometimes you can give a goalkeeper credit.

Agreed, it was a really good save, long reach with his boot.

Good win, terrible second half.
We lost the plot a bit after their red card.
Its sometimes hard to play against 10 men yes but you cannot let the opposite rule the game like swansea did at moments. But we looked comfortable enough without the ball to deal with that. Except in the last minutes when it was a bit of a panic.
Man of the match either Cook or Madsen.

Missed the first half, and only caught last quarter of the game, but for the best part we looked organised and comfortable. Played too deep from what I could see (which is certainly why Kone was less effective). Poor misses from Chair and Verane that would have made everybody happier with the game at 3-0. They had their couple of opportunities to keep all of us in the edge of our seats.

3pts away; good bounce back after ‘wall game. Up to 8th (or equal 5th). All very upbeat. Need a good result at Derby on Saturday now to wrap up the week.

Well done JS and the boys

Pretty tired after getting back at 2am. If that last shot had gone in, think id have walked home to clear my head.

I thought first half they didnt look like scoring and I felt pretty relaxed. As can happen, sense of injustice seemed to drive Swansea on 2nd half. This isn’t helped by fact that we are at our best when we defend deep and hit on break rather than having to control possession. The 2nd goal would have killed the game. And despite missing the chances, the changes 2nd half did that.

Positives - Madsen, Mbengue and Burrell. For consistency, id say these are our best 3 players this season.
Also shout out to Field filling it at left back. Out of side but did a good job there for the team. Chair looks in good shape and up for it.

Negatives - Kone and Dunne both below par for me.

Is the general perception that we need to find a way of winning matches when we have more possession? I can't see us getting away with winning with less possession all season.

good win, wet conditions and ball not moving easily thru the wet, if we had scored the 2nd or more it would have made the last 5 mins less stressful, nardi made one good save near the death and they missed a near sitter , wow if that went in the mbs would have melted down but we held out. saito was dead on his feet and holding his hammy at the end, still more success on the road . it is very tight near the top 6 .
we are pink, we are black, queens park rangers we are back!

When was the last time we scored against ten men?

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

If Idah isn't nicknamed Yak in the Swansea dressing room then there's something wrong.

Bumping this comment because it’s borderline genius!
