Bucket List / Fck It List 17:16 - Dec 4 with 1611 viewsDorse

Thinking about the Ashes, something I've always wanted to do would be to go on an England test tour. Take a couple months, do the whole thing, barely survive the alcoholism, that sort of thing.

By contrast, something everyone raves about but I couldn't give a monkey's about doing would be doing Route 66 or trying yoga. Fck that shit.

Whaddya reckon? What's on your bucket / fck it lists?

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Did yoga once – fell asleep doing the breathing at the start. The instructor (who I knew) let me sleep through the session, and I snored through it.

Bucket - all the F1 Grand Prix in a year.
Fck it - anything submarine-related. There's enough to look at above the waterline, let alone putting yourself in danger in the depths.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Stupid and very achievable thing I should have done in the summer and just never got round to was doing 100,000 steps in a day. On the list for a nice Sunday with plenty of daylight next year.

Completing the 92 (81 for now until someone else builds a new stadium).

Would love to follow England through a World Cup. Certainly won’t be next year at those prices and won’t be 2034 in Saudi because sod that so would have to be Spain/Portugal/Morocco. Still an effort but could be the last, perhaps ever, that it’s doable at a realistic price.

An away Ryder Cup.

On the flip side, doing a marathon/triathlon. Fair play to anyone who has but not for me.

QPR Bucket - like Bazz, a European campaign.
Non-QPR Bucket - Nepal and the Himalayas, hopefully in 2026.

I went for the Ashes in 2017-18,although I only did Perth,Melbourne and Sydney.A few only came all the way for just the Perth test.
On my own list is a Canadian rockies trip,a football trip to Buenos Aires and definitely route 66,but not while the orange one is in charge.
There isn’t anything on my fck it list really.

Bucket list - as already said.... the ultimate for me is a competetive game in Europe watching QPR.... preferably in some mad Finnish fishing village with a population of 2,398 followed by games in Budapest and Tirana.
Oddly never a massive wugger fan but quite fancy a British Lions tour

Fcuk it list.... Rosamund Pike, Alexandra Daddario and Natalie Portman (but there are many, many, many others)

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Facebook currently speculating that Ms Daddario may be pregnant and asking ‘Who is the father’? Er, anything further to add, Lblock?

I'd love to have spent a couple of hours sat In armchairs talking to Tony Benn and Arthur Scargill, just the Three of us talking about the history of British working class, I'd have found that fascinating, I would have been In my element.

To have spent time In my Man cave with Jimi Hendrix and Paul Kossoff, amplifiers warmed up and just trying to put some musical shit together with three of the biggest spliffs smouldering In the background, get the fck out of here, Hey Joe.

I so wanted to make the Everest base camp after my eldest Lad did, alas the beat up old Biman Bangladesh Airline Boeing 737 couldn't land in Kathmandu airport. because of a storm, Won't happen now. (I did get to see the Mount Everest peak at about 05.00 hrs one morning flying over Northern Pakistan on my way to Bangladesh, It was awesome with the sun rising behind It).

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Last season I viewed* every minute of every game, home and away, which was one of mine.

I may have mentioned that once or twice before

(* I would have said ‘saw’ but that would not accurately describe the experience of Leicester away in the cup.)

To see my home county Roscommon compete in an All Ireland final in Croke park .
Happened in 1980 and we threw it away against Kerry .
I can dream .

Looks like it’s pistols at dawn with Lblock then. And may the best man win.

Alternatively, if that’s a bit early, how about pistols at half-time? Would make a change from the crossbar challenge.

To watch QPR win something big - FA Cup, European Champions Cup, Premiership title while I'm still capable of invading the pitch.

To live to my late 90s then get shot by a jealous husband.

I’ve been to Rome for the rugby 3 times and it’s a great weekend, and not too expensive either if you book it separately yourself.I’m trying to talk myself into going back in March for the next instalment.

I suppose if Natalie Portman moved to Suffolk, got married and started supporting Ipswich, she'd be Natalie Portman-Road.

Rangers, at Wembley, FA Cup final, 3 o clock on a warm May, Saturday afternoon... an 80 plus minute winner from whoever and then straight back to the green for tins and singing.. waking up in Monday morning somewhere, who cares where.

Waking with a sore head but "Summer Breeze" by the Isley Brothers wafting in the breeze from car at the lights... then off to Arthur's in Kensal Rise for a full English

There’s still time to track down Arthur Scargill if you’re so inclined Ted, still going at 87. Last time I heard he was in his Presidential Suite in the Barbican.

My bucket list would include tests in Galle and Dharamshala, State of Origin, a big SEC game likeTennessee v Alabama and River Plate v Boca Juniors, but a trip to Istanbul is next on my list.

On the F-it list, I’ve never seen the appeal of Vegas, much less renewing my marriage vows in front of an Elvis impersonator. The Trans Siberian railway always seemed like a pointless ordeal to me as well.

Assuming my current obsession with ‘the sport of kings’ (that’s real tennis to you lot) endures, I think I’d like to have a crack at playing on each of the 45 active courts in the world. They’re mainly situated in the UK, France, Australia and the US (the US ones can wait until the present incumbent of the White House has f****d off though).

Or ‘rode’ in the case of the two contributors who have brought Ms Portman to our attention?
