| West Ham tickets on 02:48 - Dec 28 by Northernr | Thoughts and prayers. Look forward to reading your 'on the whistle' hot take while I'm fighting my way onto the Jubilee Line, and being lectured about how little I know from somebody who goes to fewer QPR games than Jake Clarke-Salter. Or, on the of chance we've won, not hearing from you at all until the following week's defeat at Stoke. |
You can’t be saying things like that. There’s nobody connected to the club who goes to less games than Jake Glass Salter. Shake up man

| West Ham tickets on 02:08 - Dec 28 by stainrods_elbow | If the tickets were 10p, I wouldn't be going. Exactly why should I again? I saw Rangers at Wembley in 1982, and I wouldn't lower myself to the current attitude to the F A Cup. |
So your attitude to clubs not treating the cup with respect, is to boycott the cup? Isn't part of the problem that clubs then use poor crowds to justify not taking the cup(s) seriously?

Surely most of us have him on ignore by now? It’s bliss. Maybe you could get a standby on rotation of people who just have to moderate his posts for your blood pressure Clive. Personally I’d put him and Lassel in a breakout room to fight it out about who despised the club more. But that’s just me.

| West Ham tickets on 23:16 - Dec 27 by DannyPaddox | West Ham, in the jaws of a relegation battle and with that massive six-pointer versus Forest the Tuesday before the Cup game, will almost certainly play a second string XI against us. I’ve looked at the names on the West Ham bench recently and have come up with this: Hermansen (25) Mayers (18) Golambeckis (18) Mavropanos (28) Julio (27) Kante (20) Earthy (21) Rodriguez (31) Irving (25) Fullkrug (32) Marshall (21) There’s only one name I know there, the old German forward and he’s currently not fit. The gulf between Premiership and Championship widens every season but still I’ve no idea if these West Ham squad players are any good. Btw: I am not at all suggesting we play a weakened side. We should go for it - hell for leather - an away win in the Cup in a London derby against old foes will be a day to remember and a massive confidence boost for everyone. |
Might dig up my old spread betting account and go high on shirt numbers for this one. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| West Ham tickets on 02:42 - Dec 28 by stainrods_elbow | Thanks for that. As you may have forgotten (or feel is trivial), I live in a different country. Congratulations on living in England. For posters willing to engage with my point, I'd have the same attitude if I was a season ticket holder again living on the Goldhawk Road. To put it another way, just because I'm a fan doesn't make me a mug. |
I can’t work out whether you post to be controversial or you are just taking the p.iss. But on the assumption you are not, surely calling us mugs for going isn’t exactly how a qpr fan should treat other qpr fans. Speaking for myself I don’t decide to go to a game because I think we will win or not. I go because I enjoy it. My son has also never seen us play West Ham, so another reason to go along. Have to admit I thought you were harshly treated on here previously but now I understand why!
| West Ham tickets on 15:49 - Dec 28 with 1879 views | Wegerles_Stairs | If I were West Ham, I would be looking to get out of that ground. No coincidence that their home form is so bad in a place like that with zero atmosphere. Upton Park was the antithesis. | | | |
| West Ham tickets on 16:43 - Dec 28 with 1776 views | themodfather | i really wonder, after losing again at home and adrift in league , how bothered west ham fans are for this?? they hate their new ground, we paid for , for us a new one, one to tick off a long list ( for many, i am around the 70+ mark) could we get a few 1000 more?? | | | |
| West Ham tickets on 17:20 - Dec 28 with 1673 views | HammersmithR | Pretty sure they signed a 100 year lease for that ground. I’d be gutted if I had to go there every week to watch us. The complete opposite of the Boleyn which was a great ground. They should buy out their lease and move to a proper purpose built stadium. I’ve been to the Olympic stadium a few times and it’s terrible for football. Will be another team I’ve seen us play at 2 different grounds. | | | |

Officially, no. Unofficially I’m sure there’ll be a few.
| West Ham tickets on 18:45 - Dec 28 with 1425 views | Juzzie | I can’t see how they can issue any more as the blocks either side are for home fans and have sold tickets. It would be a logistical nightmare trying to sort that out if they’d have to re-allocate those tickets. Maybe as many QPR fans as possible can buy in those adjacent blocks to keep as many of us together? As far as the ground goes, their fans got what they deserve. Besides, where else could they go? Part of the problem long before the Olympics came along was there was nowhere to relocate to. The 2012 games solved that problem but the Olympic people right royally messed it up by building a stadium not designed to be repurposed for football. [Post edited 28 Dec 18:52]

To be fair to the fans I think they’ve been largely against the whole thing and could see it for what it was. I think most would have stomached it for success just about. Probably best to keep one’s head down if in those blocks either side, particularly to the left of the away end.

I disagree with you re The Boleyn. I was in there many times following the R's and twice as a neutral and I never liked the place. Though the West Sides bar being open after the games (back in the 70's anyway), was handy.

I quite liked the place when I was young & I was given one minute to get out of the ground after our win there in 1973. I appreciated the warning & easily made it! However, when I last went there for our 1-1 draw in 2013, it was the most frightened I've been at football. Nothing to do with the West Ham fans, but the concourse at half time was crowded & a potential death trap. I was only in there to try to get to the loo & by the time I managed to, a sit down was required! It was beyond the best before date on the label. [Post edited 29 Dec 10:00]

Unfortunately there are still a few grounds like that Terry, including our own away end.Even the Stan Bowles stand isn’t the best, although I haven’t been in there for a few years. My 1st trip to Upton Park was in the league cup game in 1976,and I was given the same warning in the chicken run.The peanuts thrown at me tasted ok on the district line train home though.

'73 - we won 3-2. I was stood on the South Bank with a couple of my mates. Quite a lot of Rangers in the ground but little grouping together, too risky.
