WE WANT NOURRY OUT SAID WE WANT NOURRY OUT 18:21 - Mar 8 with 9768 viewsLblock

I’ve had a few Sunday liveners but when will we hear this? Will we hear it?

11 goals conceded in 3 games with no reply.
His mate has killed the fitness
This is HIS squad
Terrible, terrible players signed for ridiculous money
A squad not built for this level
Steve Cook clearly being played with
Totally and utterly embarrassing after the money wasted and it all leads to the door of one man
(Unless you include those who appointed him)

Get him gone

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

WE WANT NOURRY OUT SAID WE WANT NOURRY OUT on 08:07 - Mar 9 by GaryBannister86

I am sure you are right, Dave, but how does that come about? Nourry has to go to the Board and say that Stephan isn't working out and needs to be removed. Surely, surely, the Board would respond - hang on? Wasn't he your man? Isn't he following your overarching instructions (if true)? Why did we have to pay off Cifuentes for someone no better? Why are we sailing so close to the PSR ceiling having splashed out a lot of money on transfers yet (i) there are no fit sellable assets and (ii) we are no better off in the league?

Or do the Board / owners just nod and go "Yes, Christian, it is all the manager's fault. Great shout."

Exactly Cifuentes was manoeuvred out the door because he didn't agree with Nourry, he had his own ideas and didn't want to be a puppet being told by other people in Nourrys team what to do, ultimately the Manager carries the responsibility for team performance how frustrating it must be when you have your hands tied behind your back.

Always the argument that Cifuentes was looking for another job, well wouldn't you when you've fallen out so badly with your very young boss, at the last home game for Cifuentes he was asked by fans will you still be here next year, he replied I hope so that's not the reply of a man who wanted to leave but he knew it was inevitable as the owners had a choice Nourry or Cifuentes and bearing in mind Nourry is his Hoos man that was never an option.

Christ it's like fkin Groundhog Day on here.

I'm just fed up with the same slop week in week out. Nothing is going to change while certain personnel remain in position. All the chickens are coming home to roost.

Bottom line though is it comes down to the players who cross the white line, if they ever felt like pulling their finger out. Even yesterday for the occasional minute where we showed some effort, Boro were there to be got at. It's such a dogshit league, even more so this season. You can beat anyone if you put your minds to it.

I've got tickets for the Leicester game with our youngest but if/when we lose at Birmingham it'll be so toxic there; might just bin it off and pop round the corner to watch Barnet.

SIGH

I think the owners think he's doing a good job and will just change manager again. I may be wrong thats just how it looks to me.

I completley agre with you but would be shocked if they actually do anything other than change manager, probably a British one this one

I fear you are right. And you know why? Because the owners are not present. So it will all be presented to them in Nourry's own and PR terms what a wonderful job he is doing and how the injuries are unfortunate and that the manager has been a disappointment.

They aren't there, they can't see it, can't smell it, can't feel it.

QPR's last month across the first team and Dev Squad, Reserves in old money...

First team results:

Won once (1-3)
Lost four (1-3, 5-0, 0-2, 0-4)

Dev Squad results:

Watford 5 QPR 0
WBA 1 QPR 0
QPR 1 Cardiff 0
Bristol City 2 QPR 0
Swansea 3 QPR 1

So, across the two groups: P10 W2 L8 F6 A25

If I was the major shareholder, I'd be calling a meeting with each of my "performance" employees to find out how they explain these performances, ie these people the club list as full time staff:

Physical performance coach
Performance scientist
Head of Analysis
Operation Analyst
Performance Therapist
Recruitment Analyst
Head of Recruitment
Director of Sporting Operations
Performance Physiotherapist x 2
Analyst
Head of Goalkeeping
Performance Therapist
Head of Methodology
Nutritionist
Performance logistics & Player Care Lead
Individual Development Coach
Head of Performance Services (ooh la la!)
Head of Integrated Services

Head of Defensive Coaching
Head Coach
First Team Coach

+
Methodology Lead U17- U21
Academy Methodology Manager
Player Pathways Manager

Then, I'd call in the CEO and Chairman to explain why this current set-up is better than that of Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey's of five years ago, which achieved better outcomes with significantly fewer staff members.

Then I'd probably commission a staffing and performance audit, ironically.

Because I reckon Nourry has probably learnt enough on a steep enough curve to make better future decisions, but he needs to have his workload halved and redefined as answerable to a genuine CEO, both of whom communicate regularly with fans as LF/LH used to, even in the toughest moments. At the moment, it's insulting and contemptible.

Are you able to elaborate on this Hunter?

Uncertainty about Nourry from above, has Gnanalingam finally found someone to buy him out, or something else?

it was rumoured a few weeks ago that Hoos was being less than complmentary about the wonderkid , same as last season when he was heard hammering marti before a game funnily enough . history repeating its self it seems.

It’s what happens when you appoint someone straight out of university. You need football people running the football side of things. We have a university graduate and a cycling coach running all the key areas of the football club. Make it make sense. I’m all for playing young players if they’re good enough. But Nourry’s supermarket sweep in Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Portugal etc has shown none of them are ready for the Championship and in my mind just not this standard in general. We are now stuck with them because Nourry and his 2 best mates have given them long contracts and no other mug of a club will buy them off for us with a higher resale value. The squad put together this season has probably 13 or 14 Championship players. We needed a squad. The squad players are simply not good enough hence why we are getting battered every week and there is no sign of the likes of Chair, Obikwa, Burrell, Poku, Dembele, Madsen returning to the squad. And don’t start me on Field being let go. Morgan is getting worse every time I see him play. Varane and Hayden cannot play together. They are unable to control the midfield. The likes of Saito have regressed under this coach. And all of this points to Nourry. He’s put this utter shambles together. I really hope the board have had enough of this shambles and sack him with Belk and the cycling coach.

The problem, and the solution is in plain sight.
Apart from Ruben, who has been the constant presence/influence/decision maker at the table for the past 10 years?

Start there.

Top point on dev squad results. Has gone largely under the radar but they've not had a great season, and if success is seen as developing young players then dev squad results are surely key to judging that success.

While I agree with your logic for what should happen next, based on what's happened so far I fear a bit. Hiring CN already felt like the board saying "we've tried everything, we're basically out of ideas so let's go for a bit of a hail mary"; so what happens when this hail mary idea fails too? The owners are distant but have been benevolent; god knows where we end up if they get tired of being benevolent. That combined with the ability to consistently make impatient, bad decisions (I'd say we've had 2.5 good managers over the last 15 years... Warnock obviously, Warburton arguably, and Cifuentes the 0.5.... in each case there has been progress followed by impatience things are not moving fast enough leading to them being fired and taking us backwards, often with massive misadventures on the way.

Grim times. Now, where are we going to get 6 more points from this season?

Hoos is a cancer on our club. ALL of this shyte flows down from him starting with his manchild, Nourry. He’s been running the club for 10 years and achieved Sweet FA but still is still in a very well paid job. What other club would allow it?

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

I had a manager once who, upon entering the office, would say with a wry smile “coping ?”
Only he was quite posh, so it sounded like “cayping ?”
I can imagine Nourry saying this to JS.

Yes, this is what I can't work out. When it got toxic a couple of seasons ago and Les left, how on earth did he survive? It does seem quite incredible that he is still there presiding over this sh*tshow, and with his protege in tow too!

Why are the owners so dumb? They are Croesus levels of rich - I get that they can't use that on transfers but pay someone to do some due diligence and find someone somewhere in the world who knows how to run a football club ffs!

But they did pay someone to do some due diligence didn't they? What was his name again? Ah yes, Christian Nourry was the chap's name. Oh, hang on a minute.....

Slight reply to Ruben being absent , which in the main is correct , but he has been to most home games this season .
Whether that counts as absent is in the eye of the beholder and of course it’s much deeper than rocking up every other Saturday but he has been there for the most part on match days .
Just thought I’d make that known .

That's interesting, Mart, thanks - I didn't know that.

Pretty certain I said back before the transfer window shut in September that we would finish 16th if we didn't sign 2 more midfielders. Top 10 if we did.
We didn't, spent money on Saito, and we're 16th.

This is why I don't have an issue with JS as he was hamstrung before a ball was kicked.

Well, here we are again. Was it a year ago I posted the Nourry out post and got some pelters from some on here? Maybe a bit longer.

In regard to all of those roles that people are doing at the club: they are just fancy names. Jon De Souza is just the head of coaches, for example. It's all jazzed up to sound like the manchild knows what he is doing. It's important to know that, as if there were a big change at the club, their roles would be rebranded to something resembling football norms.

JS going would not change anything. Most would agree on this, purely because we don't know how much control over things he genuinely has and he has been armstrung by injuries.

The biggest concerns for me are away from the pitch, at LR, the working staff at this football club. No HR at Loftus Road but they have a 'people person' at Heston. Things like this have created an us vs them dynamic. Again down to poor leadership.

Something interesting to note, Steve Gallen was at the game yesterday, 2 years to the day he was appointed DOF at Millwall. We interviewed him; we told him to go on holiday, and then Christian Nourry decided he could do the job, and Lee Hoos aided and abetted it.

Lastly, it hurts how apathetic our fans have become. There should be protests and banners at the ground. But we just aren't organised as a fan base. QPR 1st used to have teeth; now they are a completely powderpuff org. Different people are protecting self-interests. Although, putting yourself front and center as the face of fan dissent is also a fool's errand, as you would just get dogs' abuse.

When you strip the whole thing back though and you tell yourself this simple fact 'QPR appointed a 27 year old with no experience as a CEO and no experience as a DOF and a cycling coach to run all the key areas of the football club'......you realise how insane it all is.

Well said.

I'd add one more thing to this list around the strange communication and social media behaviour in the CN era, which is probably the root cause of your penultimate paragraph. It terrifies me how many things I read and hear in support of Nourry over football people. I think we're seeing propaganda in action. Not only are we left with performances like yesterday; we also have divisions within the fan base. It's scary stuff.

They would have to call him up, but I know he would have the conversation. He has helped the club recently on something relating to a legal case.

Warbs had standards and was a man of principle.
