I do like Harvey Vale he is still finding his feet so to speak in the Championship. Has scored a couple of vital goals for us this season, thought he took his goal well yesterday, didn't panic when keeper approached and flicked it round him, kept a cool head to finish as well. He's 22, not 23 until September. He's played 70 pro games already despite a bad injury, 30+ games this season in several positions and is proving himself a match winner in a largely poor, injury-riddled team in his first full Championship season.
Whatever the deficiencies of the squad-building, technically skilled characters in their very early 20s such as Vale, Kone, Edwards, Mbengue, Morgan definitely are its silver lining. All really good signings. Find the nit-picking of these particular young players really odd. | | | |

Not sure the technically skilled and Mbengue and Kone fit into the same sentence. Both are technically deficient, it’s their biggest weakness. But general point is taken.
As for Vale, bigger challenge is his position. Doesn’t seem to have one. Definitely talented, but in a fully fit squad, he doesn’t play for me, as there are better players in all the positions he plays. | | | |
