I, like many on here, don't like the current regulations but Harvey hasn't broken any rules and is well within his rights to make the switch. If truth be told, at the moment ROI can't afford to be picky and should welcome all the talent it can into it's pool. Good to see Jimmy Dunne and Harvey Vale in the latest Ireland squad.
We have a fair few internationals at the Club currently, can only be a good thing for the players first and foremost but reflects well on the football club as a whole.
Hopefully Harvey gets a chance to come off the bench and comes back buzzing from the experience.
Confidence is everything in young players and best of luck to all our players for the rest of the season. Would be fantastic to build some momentum in the remaining games and see a few younger players come in and finish the season on a high. |  | | |

From what I’ve seen Harvey Fail does not have the minerals to make it at this level.
Reminds me very much of a certain Jimmy Smith who followed a similar route to us. Can pick a pass and looks good when not under pressure, will razzle in the odd superb goal but…. Not got the physique, attitude or nuts to be a Championship player week in week out. |
Fella continues to justify my thoughts on him.
He'll look useful, pick a great pass, have some wonderful efforts from distance and put in some great crosses........... all as long as the sun is shining, the pitch is a carpet and the opposition stand 15 yards off of him.
If it's a typical EFL affair then he will instead go and find 15 yards of space to hide in and let the game go on around him.
That right hand side consisting of Vale, Adamason and Tylon Smith for the last 15 mins or so last night was truly frightening and a very sobering thought that we'll probably see that line up multiple times next season when Nourryvirus decrees it so.
Vale may well develop over the summer into an all action, aggressive and hard running midfielder who backs up his technical Academy Boy prowess with the attributes needed to do it week in week out at this level.
