He's played in all bar two league games since he arrived (Sheff Utd games excluded) plus one cup game and he's fifth highest in the squad for appearances despite the five games he couldn't have played in. Can you remember the last time he didn't play the full game? I can't.
If he's not robust enough we need to offload about 20 players. |  |

Agree with a lot of the OP.
Not sure about the usual swipe at others who may have the nerve to disagree about his overall fitness .
But he was really good yesterday that’s for sure .
Like the match thread from yesterday , not sure how you can say he DOESNT have an overall fitness issue. It’s what the Sheffield United fans where critisizing him for and if you look back at the several 3 game weeks with had he’s completed zero.
So calling it nonsense is just denying facts .
However , we don’t know if it’s an injury that will fully recover during the summer or it’s something that’s being managed throughout the rest of his career.
I think that if he could play 3 game weeks or busy periods like Christmas like say Jimmy has done this season then I think we could do worse .
When he is like he is yesterday it’s hard not to see him being good defensive addition.
Linked to that , Mbengue’s first 25 minutes yesterday ticked every box in the “good defender but we need a real right back in the summer” check list . The worst crosser of a ball I can remember.

He's played 32 matches, signed after the first three. Six matches left so around 40.

It’s a tough call. He is a solid Championship full back and has been available practically all season. Which given the amount of injuries we have had and his previous record is nothing short of a miracle. One way to keep the wages down, would be to put him on a long-term deal, tie him down for 3-4 years. But you know (this is QPR) that the minute you do that he is going to pick up a long-term injury. So I don’t know. I like him, but there are probably cheaper, lower-risk, equally capable options out there. Had a good season though. | | | |

Dunne is a high bar, if you're going to hold every player to that level we'll need an entire new set of players because stripping out the five games he couldn't play, RND has the second highest number of appearances in the squad.

I think he is a very steady Eddie at this level and I like him a lot. He reminds me of a left back version of David Bardsley. He's not the quickest but he's got a good brain and very good feet. He's 27 later this month so if we can get him on a perm he would be good for a few years. I guess it may come down to perm wages and whether or not Larkeche can come back strongly from injury because I presume he would be the player we need to develop.
But yeah, RND would be an excellent perm signing if Utd want to sell him and we can afford him. He is clearly enjoying it here so that would point to a poss perm. |  |

That's why Sheff Utd loaned him out to us; we are not even paying 100% of his wages, that's how crazy they are.

This may be possible as Wilder is back at SU, and he has the hots for Chair and Dunne. If they offer us big money for Chair, we could make it part of the deal; they would loan us RND for another full season. That's how he could come back. Not that much of a long shot, as Wilder really wants Chair and Dunne.
As for Dunne, rumour was that Dunne was almost offered a 2-year deal by SU, but they sacked Wilder, and he stayed here for another year. We could lose Dunne on a free in the summer to SU if they offer him a 2-year bumper deal. High chance of that with Wilder still around. |  |

The club said he has to be managed over those weeks and the think you’ll find a correlation with Esquidinha playing random games across them.
I’m not saying he’s a reincarnation of Matty Rose; I’m merely repeating what the club has said.
Yes, he’s come on over those 3 game weeks but mostly unplanned because his over has had shockers or gone down like leg has been ripped off at Oxford away.

Can you explain why he would be on crazy money as I just can’t see it. He joined Sheffield United’s academy in 2017 and has been a squad player for them ever since interspersed with a number of loans so he will surely be amongst their lowest earners: he’d have not been in the position to demand a huge contract based on that. He’s also played his most games in a season for us so is very likely to want to join permanently and fit within our wage structure. | | | |
