Just seen Nardi’s interview in which in my opinion they turn into an attempt to justify the decision to play Walsh and get Nardi to big up Walsh’s ability.
The wrong place in my view and not respectful to Nardi at all

I have just read the article and noted that Hamer lost just 1 game in 7.
If he had played as first choice from January instead of Walsh QPR might just have managed to get more than the 58 points.
I'm not suggesting he was brilliant. but a number of QPR's losses this year were in no small part down to having Walsh in goal, Wrexham (the flap at the corner to Windass, then letting the winner through his hands) and Derby (the equaliser) just 2 of the games that Walsh was largely or partly at fault for losing.
Trying to develop Walsh might just have cost QPR enough points to have challenged the top 6. | | | |

Man, that Paul Nardi interview.
Some will disagree with this but it’s my view.
Firstly, so much credit to Paul Nardi .
That’s a ballsy and classy interview, which he didn’t have to do .
But I’m almost annoyed with him. He’s almost too humble and too complimentary of Joe Walsh and the club that messed him around for an entire season.
It’s so obviously a PR stunt that it’s incredible and the club are so lucky he agreed to that .
Over 300 career appearances . Player of the year runner up .
As I mentioned about Walsh on Saturday in the match thread that do you think sometimes it isn’t just the keeper, and that the team in front of him (midfield as well as the defence ) plays a big part in if they look any good or not? It’s not everything of course but if Donnarumma played behind that lot at times he’d be conceding to many goals too.
We know Nardi had his issues with crosses that really started to show towards the end of last season.
But instead of building his confidence again over the summer and working on his flaws, what did we decide to do ?
Bomb him out completely. Almost nothing in pre season . We heard people say that after one of the games in France he just sat deflated in the dug out long after the game had finished.
And bomb him out for someone who had played 120 minutes of Championship football .
So instead of building his confidence we nuked it completely.
And we didn’t just drop him. We bombed him out of the squad entirely for long periods and on a match day when the goalkeepers warned up Saloman was out there instead of Nardi so we didn’t even include him in that . At least one game this season Nardi was posting on Instagram out with his family .
And he sits there all smiles and love?
I’d be setting fire to the place.
It’s there . It’s in between the lines towards the end of that interview but he is a credit to himself that he remains professional and upbeat.
He’s a seasoned pro. Treating people in that way (here we are again) isn’t right .
At least start the season with Nardi and bring Walsh in gradually maybe ? But the ‘club’ couldn’t risk Nardi playing well . So dropping him would’ve been even more strange.
It’s all about Christian’s project and to hell with anybody that’s not going to make money or make him look good.
We completely wasted a year of his career.
We continue to treat people badly and then ask them to tell us lemons how wonderful they are .

There are a few problems with Angus Gunn as a goalkeeper, but I'd say he's pretty consistent - I know Southampton fans would second that viewpoint.
Ilan Meslier would be a similar level of pick-up; out of contract, big enough "name" but also only 26 with over 200 appearances to his name. Completely bombed out this season, so definitely a "we can fix him" option for someone desperate. It's the sort of "star" -struck signing we love making, the kind that never ends well.
The most sensible option would be to see what Sunderland want for Anthony Paterson as the most Championship of Championship goalkeepers; second option, take one of Brighton's warehoused goalkeepers for a spin, they've got something like 8/9 across their youth teams and its worked wonderfully for Coventry this season. | | | |

Nardi could have improved his game, this season. He was decent last season.
Walsh started from a low level of performance and stayed there all season. He is never going to be sold for much more than a million, so that reason for playing him consistently doesn't add up either. Even, if he is a level above in training, its not translating in game time.
Shockingly bad treatment of Paul Nardi, by the club for me. Almost, as if Joe Walsh has some "Epstein" type dirt on the QPR hierarchy that none of the public are aware of !!!
We will see if they have learnt lessons but for me, i am expecting another mediocre season of Walsh in goal ahead. Its not fair on him either tbf. Whatever the real reasons, we will never know. But its all a bit twilight zone for me.
Weird and a total own goal by the club on all levels !!

It's exactly how I feel. QPR need to do better on a human level. I personally think he's been treated so bad by QPR.
I'm amazed Nardi did an exit interview. I'm sure he loves the fans but I'm sure he's doesn't care too much about the people running the club.

This bon voyage interiew of Nardi is so so weird !!
They ask him so many questions about Walsh. So staged and quite clearly, Nardi was given a script to perform, but clearly the underlying statement is so so blatantly club led.
Notice also its not Paul Morrisey asking the questions. Maybe he said "Nah, i am not asking the poor guy, that."
Unfortunately, its such total BS and can't believe anyone is buying it. Almost gestapo like, in that we will ask you this and then you will say this.
Its a complete insult to the fans intelligence. So transparently fake. Almost Donald- esque in its truth. It might work in the deep south of the United States, but credit the people of W12 with a bit more nouse.

Nardi was in goal against Derby so we cant really blame Walsh for their equaliser .

it was very awkward to watch at the cheshunt semi final when furlong walked in and had to pass nourry willims and andy impey sat alongside us , furlong was there to watch his son playing for cheshunt , impey shouted out to furlong and he stopped he had no rerl choice not to and williams and noirry both sort of jumped on him sort of shook hands but it didnt look atall comftable and felt sorry for furlong having to go through it . with whats rumoured to have happened before | |
