I think he's very good, but I also just really love his insouciance.
I've only ever seen that in Holland.
RTE have this young panel all the time, a few ex-pros, a League of Ireland manager, Stephen Kelly (Stephen Kelly, for chrissakes) - none of them have any idea in the whole wide world what it takes to be a serious contender at the World Cup, all of the preparation, the pain, the professionalism, the torture....and Didi just listens the whole time to their bubbling enthusiasm, and then, occasionally, calmly and beautifully, interjects with a knowing nod or a smile, and one or two lines that tells them, smiley-smugly and politely, that they are wrong. |  |

That injury to Kone was horrible. The camera lingered on his face for a few seconds as he realized what had happened to his leg and the shock kicked in. Good to see him sitting up on the stretcher and waving to the crowd (on oxygen and drugs obviously). Has been one of Canada’s best players in both games - wish him a speedy recovery. |  | | |

The guy who broke Kone's leg seemed genuinely upset but the same can't be said for Lopetegui and some of the Qatar coaches.
They'll miss Kone against Switzerland and in the last 32 but their team spirit might just carry them through. | | | |
