Anyone else notice how many fans they show with their phones either filming the game or themselves. And mums with young kids in their arms. Did they get in with any hassle, had 2 tickets etc.
Pan to the Scotland fans and no phones and engrossly engaged in the game.
I am beginning to wonder who is actually attending some of the games. You can see the designated areas of fans who likely got their tickets from their respective countries football association. Seems like other areas it’s a bit ‘rent a crowd’

I’ve also have picked up a rent-a-crowd vibe. There are defintily pockets of proper travelling fans, but it does look like they’ve padded it out many of the games with a neutral crowd.

They don’t have any great options admittedly but Hanley is the worst option. Intrigued to see what Clarke does knowing they’re probably just about ok with a 1-2 goal defeat. If they go a goal down does he have a go? If Morocco are battering Haiti and Brazil need a couple more to top the group it could be quite fun with Clarke chucking on defenders to protect a two goal defeat. | | | |

Agreed it's ridiculous and the bloke telling the ref to get him sent off was even worse. Wasn't that long ago the refs themselves used to cover their mouths when talking to the linesmen.
Turkey out after the absurd use of head to head in the table rather than goal difference which means that the third game is a dead rubber now. Who thought head to head was a good idea for a league table with only 3 games? [Post edited 20 Jun 13:11]

The third teams going through did mean any team would have a chance going into the final game so every team would have something to play for and it was unlikely the group was wrapped up after two games. Now we’ve got group winners done and teams knocked out who in theory could finish with a goal difference and points good enough to qualify while finishing below a team that’s knocked out.
But this was kind of a result of the expansion and guarding against the possibility of a Curacao getting gubbed 12-0. | | | |

Isn't that the normal procedure in England and Europe? Clubs are usually allocated between 50/60% of the stadium's capacity, the rest distributed through the controlling football body. | |

Enjoyed the Morocco Scotland game. 2 very different approaches. Morocco are technically very, very good.They have a good striker in Saibari, but don't score enough when controlling games, and seem to drop a level as games go on. They did this against both Brazil and,Scotland and in a pre-finals friendly against Norway where admittedly they lost 2 good players too injury. | | | |
