Think we need a designated thread for general World Cup 2026 chat. There only seem to be the England and sweepstake ones so far.

Same with managers/coaches and their team, same with team mates.
However, when a player does it to an opposing player it’s potentially bad so the rule came in to stop that. In the heat of a game a player is highly unlikely to say to an opposing player “I say old chap, fancy a curry & beer after the game” and if they are then no need to cover your mouth. |  | | |
