We've been really, really bad at selling players at the peak of their value, going all the way back to Trevor Sinclair.
Like you say, if we push for the play-offs this year and Edwards excels then he's going to be worth more than he is now.

Adding to the issues of not selling to get maximum value, although I am glad we didnt sell him at his peak valuation - Ilias Chair (Caught between a rock and a hard place)
Re Ronnie - I think he will be here this season - I dont feel we will get enough of a fee that we could consider we still get at least that, at the end of this season - so have some time with him in our team this season to help us potentially sneak into the play offs and at the very least at the end of the season, I fully expect him to retain his value. And another decision can be made then.
Its a risk but with him, a calculated risk worth taking - I feel. [Post edited 27 Jul 15:19]

I don't think we were the ones who drove Caulker to drink. I'm sure he had plenty of experience with the falling over water before we signed him.
