Not easy to put yourself out there on any level, so kudos for thst. Equally, rejection is a hard pill to swallow. A lot of people upon hearing it, don't like it. Sorry love if they've spent months on it, that's the business and frankly, the tune is not what's needed! That said, this could toughen him up/motivate him and there's only one thing to do when you fall off the horse, get back up on it! The club could have spared everyone a lot of grief if they had used the SAB to prepare the ground and canvass the fans to see if they wanted this or even liked it before using it before a game.
On the whole I agree with E17hoop. The club has thrown these kids to the lions and they need to find a way to support them and put it right.

Listen I'm not there to jude what people think of this as I live in New Zealand and can appreciate change is never fully welcomed. Especially as the music that always played lays foundations for decades. So it is hard to push new music on mainstay fans.
But I make music as a hobby/get paid a bit to reinvest into the studio, and I'd like to take a moment of how much that would of meant to those who made it and to be absolutely crushed by it's reception breaks my heart.
I also appreciate most here acknowledge that the club needs to make sure it brunts most of this vitriol that it's getting. Those fellas don't deserve it.
I also appreciate it's not my cuppa either just expressing how much I feel those lads must be feeling right now.

What is the point of a Supporters' Advisory Board if you don't go to them a) as Supporters or b) to advise or for advice?
FSB – Do you have an SAB? QPR – Yes! FSB – Brilliant!

It's another example of the club saying we've done the work but then not making anything happen.
I can't think of a song about football that's any good. Even the ones that people rate aren't particularly special.
'3 Lions' is awful, 'Vindaloo' is word salad and 'World In Motion' had John Barnes recommending we 'get round the back'.
Writing a song about football is nigh on impossible because you either try to write something heartfelt and it comes off as trite, or you try to be punchy and you come off looking like a try-hard knobhead wearing Stone Island and Burberry.
Hand on heart, I didn't like the song but I don't hate the songwriters. They went into it with the best of intentions but ended up getting thrown to the mob.
There were better ways of doing this. A simple teaser campaign to put it in front of the fans via socials.
What about: + Graphic with a written lyric ('I know just where I want to go...') with instrumental snippet - 10 second vid, fade in / fade out, thru-black, QPR badge. + Follow up, new graphic ('bleeding blue and white...' Since 1882), different instrumental part (bridge or hook), fade in / fade out thru black, badge et al. + Next one, new graphic (West London till I die) this time with video of fans etc etc etc. + Introduce it through socials across a couple of weeks. Maybe do a piece with the musicians? Short form, sub 3 min interview about motivations, hopes etc.
In short, give the fcking thing a chance to succeed rather than bung it out cold with a lame-arsed 'let's get behind this' on the DJs Twitter. It was set up to fail.
Look, it's not fcking rocket science. Build up the interest and release it to an audience that is already warmed up. Not everyone is going to like it (it's music - no such thing as a song for everyone) but you avoid looking like you're trying to push this on the fans.
Not blaming the lads who wrote it. Poor show by the club.

It's another thing that could have been avoided by just speaking to fans, the club are dreadful at this at the moment. Should have played the song 15 mins before kick off and left the rest the same, try it for a few weeks, explain the back story do a video of the guys who wrote it showing the process and it would have probably worked. The poor kids were just thrown under a bus here.

Has anyone else noticed on the advertising board on the Bhatia Stands? I'm sure it changes when the fans chant. Dunne made a tackle in the 2nd half, the R Block start up their Jimmy Dunne chant and the electric boards suddenly change to 'Jimmy Dunne!!!'.

I’m probably going to get Pelters here but he’s not a kid he’s 21 at that age I was working 60 hours + a week in a frozen warehouse -28, had bought a flat so had a mortgage when there were hitting 14% and was driving myself and my mates up and down the country watching QPR. This all started when some loon decided that there shouldn’t be any losers and gave outmedals for mediocrity, we now have a generation that have t been used to being told that they aren’t good enough. I remember failing my first school team football trials I went home and cried, my Dad told me a few home truths, next year I made the team. His mum has done him no favours in this situation at all. It’s like when you get an appalling tone deaf singer on the X factor, surely their families must realise how bad they are but still push them into it.

I wouldn’t dream of doing some of the things that have been said to him but some of the posts weren’t all vitriol the majority were just saying it as it is. Those that went OTT should certainly be admonished and are bang out of order but giving someone an honest opinion without the abuse shouldn’t be a problem.
As someone who makes and puts out a bit of music myself I feel really sorry for the lads, releasing any bit of music you have put your heart and soul into can be anxiety inducing and receving even a small bit of negative reaction can be soul destroying let alone a social media pile on like this.
This was so badly mishandled clearly by people who do not know what they are doing be it club the lads or their management if they have any. Rarely is any football song well received, but to pitch as an "anthem" was idiocy. To put it at the start of the game even more so.
Something becomes an anthem when it's adopted, you can't force it. Even big artists. They should have quietly played it 5 or 6 tracks before kick off for a few weeks and then if it started to get traction gradually move it forward and if it did not drop it.
A life lesson for all and I hope they dont lose the love of making music or supporting QPR over it.

Maybe we look at it differently but I just don't see the need to say anything at all. Much like you wouldn't have gone up to someone playing in a live band in the pub and said "I'm not enjoying your music it's not good" - even if that's true and it was delivered respectfully there's still just no need to say it.
Social media is one of the worst things to ever happen to society - yes there are massive benefits but in general the way it's changed the world has been far more to the negative side.

It seems... fine. Not London Calling by any means, but not sure it deserves so much vitriol. Seems like an entirely mediocre song but sounds like it was made with some genuine love at least.
