| Injuries on 13:52 - Oct 24 by HammersmithR | I see JCS is now injured. You couldn’t make it up. What’s he done in training this week in one of Ben Williams’s fitness sessions? |
Has it been reported he's injured or could it be flu or something?

Exactly this, could be the flu or a bad cold, dodgy guts due to a out of date Iceland prawn vol au vent. Let's not be so quick to jump on the injury band wagon.

| Injuries on 16:38 - Oct 23 by Padulas_Shampoo | They were absolutely out on their feet for the last 25 mins vs West Ham. Completely knackered. Like a team playing with a 1-0 lead in extra time at a World Cup. But it was a bloody league game. We essentially had 9 players for the last 10 mins. It was like a scene out of Platoon by the end. I'm certainly not accusing them of not working hard, they've been fantastic. I'm defending them not criticising them. Even this season - I said myself, there could be lots of reasons we're having to rotate the squad more than EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE DIVISION. One of them is almost certainly recruitment. I don't really care why. After three years of it... THREE YEARS... It needs to stop. |
Indeed. Re. rotating players, surely playing a game then missing a game makes it hard to maintain match fitness and hit form?
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |

That's one of the problems with the lack of info from the club about injuries. We don't know

| Injuries on 09:09 - Oct 25 with 1341 views | JamesB1979 | Is this the current list? Mbengue - season Madsen, Burrell, Lamptey - after November international break….but nothing more exact than that So 4 for certain out. Then: Chair - maybe Southampton. Lloyd, JCS (??), Kemper…..assume they would be available. So, 4 up to 8 depending on how you look at it. | | | |
| Injuries on 09:21 - Oct 25 with 1284 views | cpgerber | If you look at it like that, it's not THAT bad or critical as I have thought. Far from ideal of course and particularly Madsen & Chair are key players. If we can make it to November without further major setbacks, we might just be ok. The big upshot with the injury crisis is that all of a sudden we have a fit and firing striker back, makes a huge difference to the overall picture. Still think we should have played Morrison for 30 minutes against Derby & Swansea. We have no other CB fit & ready and I remember how good he was when he started with us. I'd like to see him regain that form and/or have some minutes under his belt in case we need him. | | | |

I'm not sure Chair would be first choice any longer especially when we play 4-4-2. Would be great to have him available though. Dembele looked bang up for it when he came on yesterday.

Agree on Dembele looking right up for it - was promising that he was notably putting in the work defensively too. Disagree on Chair - there's always room for him in the team. I think yesterday's XI has earned the right to start against Southampton but I'd have Chair over Vale on the left in a theoretical strongest XI any day.

Another game another injury if your post is accurate daveB and despite our incredible win these issues continue to haunt us However having Dunne and Ronnie and Charles in the starting 11 every week is so critical to our season and hopefully it continues with them. Getting top players back is only good news if we keep the rest of our starters healthy instead of having to swap out players due to long or even short term injuries. Lets hope Smyth turns down NI if they even bother calling him up next week while Jimmy will have to go for ROI he could actually be in contention to grab a starting slot

I was also wondering this. He has been such a Brucie Bonus being fit this season so hope it’s nothing serious. Also (and likewise sorry if this well known) do we actually know what is up with Madders?

Yeah with Saito and Dembele back, Chair supposedly back in contention, and evidently Kone out the other side of whatever ailed him (!) the injury list suddenly looks less dramatic. But, that only holds if we don't keep racking up new injuries...

Stephan said in the press conference he didn’t think it was that bad although he’s waiting 48 hours to be certain. He said he thought it was a knock and not a fully twisted ankle. So fingers crossed.
