Whatever tiny amount of hope I had left was extinguished by yesterday's performance. The players look lost and hopeless, we have no real sense of coherent intent in attack and we are full of mistakes at the back.

I couldn’t tell you how we are trying to play. Is it long ball? in which case why is nobody around Dykes when it’s launched forward and why isn’t Steph dropping into play those passes rather than Dickie- who shanked about four into T block on Friday.
If it’s short, then we need pack the midfield otherwise when we lose the ball, it’s 2 on 2 against slow defenders.
There seems to be no strategy at all and the players look confused. I like Gareth’s enthusiasm but I feel this team need to go back to basics and try and play down the sides and create the link ups between willock and chair again. |  |

Comes to something when it has to be said that their manager is better than ours tactically and that manager happens to be Paul Ince. Based on the last 23 matches, if the season had started then, we would be massively adrift of 23rd place let alone safety. It is a fact that at the moment we are by far the worst team in the league. It is an absolute mess. From three seasons of building an identity under Warburton, who although at times went on some shocking runs, always had the team with him, and then gets called out effectively by the board for telling the truth about the academy, to the last two managers who the team are obviously not playing for. It has to be said that Les Ferdinand has been a disaster for this club along with Hoos. | |

But there is no fight in these players as they simply dont care. Those that did Chair, Dykes, Dunne, Field have been dragged down and have clearly thrown the towel in.
