1. Get rid of the ex-pro co-commentator. Rarely are they insightful and frequently merely describe what you've either already seen or, seeing on a replay.
2. When they all went on strike a year or so ago, just showing the actual highlights was enough for me. Maybe some voicing, but none of the customary pony from the pundits in the studio.
3. Commentators and their propensity to deliver innane facts. Its as if: we've done all this homework and want to use it.
As for these three: Yorath is very good as an anchor. In fact, if MOTD/football could be delivered as well as the BBC delivers athletics, we'd be more enlightened without all the blah, blah, blah!

Kelly Cates used to present the Sky Sports equivalent of EFL highlights. Chapman has done MOTD2 for ages. Gabby Logan has presented virtually every other sports programme for Beeb.
3 decent choices.

Any change has got to be better than Lineker, Shearer, Richards and the rest. Bloody awful. No real indepth analysis of the game, no one asking interesting or difficult questions. Just a load of blokes laughing at each others pretty crap jokes.

Firstly I think MOTD has been crap for years and I rarely watch it these days - probably would if we were on it (Ha! Ha!)
Lineker has slowly turned into a caricature of himself. Dick.
Chapman I'm ambivalent on.
Now giving you what you want.... I find this insistence on women absolutely having to be included in aspects of the men's game an absolute farce. "Isn't it Ron?"
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

TBF all of them have been presenting for years so they're probably the best people for the job .

The BBC got quite annoying in the Olympics coverage last year of missing out athletics action because they were too busy doing all the nostalgic yadda yadda chatter in the studio.
Same with the swimming. There was a desire to turn everything into a soap opera rather than just showing us sport. Diamond League coverage is always excellent because it cuts all that nonsense out.

As above - I don't really bother watching MOTD anymore. Partly because I just couldn't give a toss about PL football - it might as well be a different sport to the one I watch week in week out. But it's also because anything of note has already popped up on social media through the day multiple times, so there's not much to discover...
If for some reason I am home on Sat night and don't happen to know the scores, I still watch and see what happens, but that's pretty rare.
As for the new presenters, I think it makes sense to share the responsibility and that all 3 are credible and deserving. Good for them too, whether a fan or not, MOTD is an institution and has to be the pinnacle for sports broadcasters.
I've no issue with any of the individuals concerned, I'm just not keen on the idea of job sharing. It gives me the impression that the BBC, for whatever reason, didn't have the courage to select one so they're enabling the three of them to fight it out for the coveted hot seat. I wouldn't be at all surprised if 3 becomes 1 in the not so distant future.
FWIW I would've given the job to Jason Mohammad. He has a very easy style on Final Score and focuses on drawing knowledge from the pundits rather than offering up his own opinions. He's presented BBC Sport coverage of many major events and has filled in occasionally on MOTD so he knows the drill.

I watch it every week, is still a great show with highlights of every game, used to prefer goals on Sunday but that became a weekly moan about referees in the end so gave up on it.
Great choice of hosts, Mark Chapman is brilliant and always like Kelly Cates on Sky, all 3 know what they are talking about.

But in all vague seriousness, three good choices with a track record.
Love this. Every time an Enfield - Whitehouse sketch comes up on Social Media, I remember how damn funny they are. Some will find this offensive no doubt, but its just FUNNY.
Pure genius as is any Julio Geordio stuff Whitehouse did and Ron Manager for that matter - Jumpers for Goalposts...
oh and by the way those choices for presenters are absolutely brilliant...

Yep, all 3 more than qualified and all decent presenters.
favourite cheese mature Cheddar. FFS there is no such thing as the EPL
I don’t mind Match of the day. I think Lineker is funny and the analysis half decent. It’s just when they get some ex pros who just tell us verbatim what I’ve just seen rather then offer any insights etc. It is good how ever much contempt I have for the PL to see quality football, remember those days fellow r,s.
Is Stainrod going to do a poll about any of this?

To be fair though, I'd challenge you to find any country whose Olympics coverage isn't a bit jingoistic and self-focussed.
