Anyone know when this is up for voting on:
"Championship clubs are due to vote on new salary cost rules for next season which would restrict a club's spending on players, managers and agents' fees to 85 per cent of its revenue.
There is also a proposal to limit owners to £33m investment over three seasons with a ceiling of £15m in any one season." |

Mel Johnson’s son is Head of Recruitment there. He alluded to the topic in his interview with Clive a year or so ago. Said they balance real life scouting with data analysis, whereas we are going all in on the latter and dispensing with the former. That’s a big difference right there.
I also believe, whilst Robbins and then Lampard don’t have complete, sole control over transfers, they do over the playing side of things. There’s another.
They have also done a brilliant job of uniting their fans behind the club. Managing to buy back their ground was a huge moment having been playing at Northampton Town (Cobblers!) only a few years ago.
Oh, and they take the cups very seriously, almost reaching the FA Cup final the other year. |  | | |

I’m sure it’s still a factor for a sensible Championship player from t’North. Big income short term of course but if they aren’t idiots they’re saving/investing the vast majority of it. He wouldn’t have been on loads at the time but I used to live near Kakay and he definitely wasn’t living the typical life of someone on probably £150k or so. If the offer is £10k a week from QPR or £10k from Preston for a player from neither area it’s a better life in a nice bit of Lancashire/Cheshire for a fraction of the price. | | | |

Not a Millwall fan in any shape or form, but what a spirited performance they gave today at Portman Rd. Defended to the last and weren't intimidated by a team with better quality by way of personnel, but that was more than matched by Millwall's togetherness, team spirit and excellent tactics from the manager.
Let's not take the nonsense that we keep hearing that QPR cannot compete against the likes of Ipswich. It can be done and Millwall are liiving proof of what can be achieved if you have people in place with the savvy and requisite acumen to build a balanced squad of hardened, experienced championship players alongside some real talent obtained at prices lower than what we paid for Saito and Celar for example [Post edited 21 Mar 14:49]
