Here goes, stuck my head above the parapet.
Scrappy and nervy 2-1 to us. Burrell to continue his good form.

I'd like to think JCS is ready for some minutes. If/when he is I'd also like to see us go 3 at the back with Dunne, M'Buenge and JCS in there.

Look forward to seeing him around FA Cup third round day then.

I’m seeing tonight as 0-3 with Edwards to score from a corner.

We’ll take this rich run of form into Saturday for another defeat by at least two.

That completes the inaugural six game losing run of JS’s management….. welcome to the show, any soft toy you like from the middle shelf.

It also means we restart after the next ludicrous international break as real relegation candidates having kick started the season’s of much bigger clubs below us. Maybe people spouting about our “much stronger squad” will start to question that strength a bit and also query if the personnel are being set up right, are fit enough, are in harmony and actually well equipped for the war of attrition that is the Championship.

We’ll see.

Come on Rangers - make me wrong (again)

They would be my main changes too, Gazza. Field warrants a start now. And please play two wingers on their natural sides. Smyth on the right and Saito (who is two footed and can go both ways) on the left.

I’d be tempted to play Chair off Burrell too. I think Kone needs a break, and he’s not playing that well. We’ll need Burrell for the out ball down the channel.

Definitely RND at left back, assuming he isn’t actually carrying a knock the club don’t want to tell us about.

Mbengue and Cook at centre half for me. Think we’ll need Cook’s experience, and personally, contrary to popular belief, I think he’s defending better than Morrison this season.

I've said it elsewhere in another thread Hunter....think Kone needs a rest, he has been very average last 2/3 games.....yep, Chair to replace.

The Manager needs to get his selection right otherwise its going to be another long night.

Before Still was sacked, 2-1 to us.

Now, 1-5 to them. Riposte.

How about if we sack our manager today?

Or sack someone else's manager?

Think Frey will start with Burrell alongside. He'll put us one up and Kone on after an hour to add a second.
2-0.

Colin, I cannot help thinking that you've got on it early doors!

I hope it doesn't turn ugly if things ain't going as we'd like. We were on a good run before Jules started tinkering for the Oxford game.

Aside of predicting Gorgeous Ronnie will receive a great reception compared to what TAA got last night at Anfield, I've no idea what will happen tonight, and I rather think Saints fans are in the same boat....

Nail on head. We are not good at attrition. In fact, we wilt in the face of it and every team in this division knows it.

I watched some of the SU v Coventry game last night. SU were one up at half time and looked like the strong and direct team from last season and swamped Coventry in the first half. Coventry got an early goal in the second half and SU buckled, but Coventry were excellent.

We will not be facing the same disillusioned SU team that started the season on Saturday. They will, without doubt, be looking to bully us into submission and I’m not sure if we have the stomach or will to stand up to it.

Unless we play to our strengths and put 110% effort in we will struggle this season. Lame, half arsed performances, for which we have a tendancy to roll out on a regular basis, will be our Achilles heel this season, regardless of our supposed improved squad depth.

Southampton are not a particularly physical side. Tonight will depend on who wants it more. We don’t look like we want anything at the moment.

That's also what I would like to see tonight.

If Vale starts again on the right and QPR lose , I wouldn't be surprised to hear the fans chant you don't know what you're doing at Stephan.

Southampton, in trouble, hovering just above the relegation places and just sacked their manager. They need help. And here comes good ol' Charity Park Rangers?

Tom Fellows right wing back for them and a couple of quicker wingers. RND going to be a busy man tonight, going to need help from the midfield and Saito tonight I think!

Expect to see Field for RND around the hour mark no matter the score . Prep for Saturday as Esquerdinha well bombed out .

Important if Chair is the 10 that he needs to drop in , in front of Madsen and Varane when we don’t have the ball .

Well, this is the side we asked the manager for and he's given it to us, so it's now on the team to step up and give the manager and the fans the performance they deserve.

Never knowingly right.

"Important if Chair is the 10 that he needs to drop in , in front of Madsen and Varane when we don’t have the ball."

Here's the crux, Mart. Nailed it.

We tried pressing on Saturday but it was disjointed.
Other lines didn't follow.

Now, no Cook, but still Nardi, can we press as an eleven.
If not, Chair has to drop, and drop quick, and so do the wingers.
But then, I would suggest, only to the half-way line, no further.
That's the battle line.
