I was on the pitch for the Maiden gig and it was a lot better.Getting away was easier too.

Yeah, I should have done that - I didn't want to stand for four hours, but I'd rather have been able to see!

Then don't dramatically redevelop it. Utliise what we have, make good, freshen up, we don't need a bigger stadium just a slightly better one. Brentford and Bournemouth have proved you don't need 50000 to prosper.

Can we dig down?

There was one good thing about this experience, though. Being able to choose the seats you wanted when buying tickets, rather than just getting whatever was top of the pile at the box office. It is insane to me that you can so rarely choose where you want to sit in an away end.

And Oxford.

Our box office are very keen for this to happen more.
Solves the problem of the 'you're in my seat' thing to a large extent, let's those who want to stand at the back do so and those that want to sit at the front the same.
Getting other clubs to play ball, however, not so simple. Stoke and Oxford both select from the seat map and tickets landed straight in the email instantaneously.
I do miss paper tickets to a large extent but that's much easier than, for instance, Pompey and Middlesbrough where I ordered online, took pot luck with what I was given, and then neither set ever arrived in the post.

It'll be really interesting to see how they manage when the Bermondsey lot rock up there next season.

I reckon they’ll make it a ‘bubble’ fixture somehow. Force them on a train from London Bridge to Pudding Mill Lane and stop home fans using the station. Will be some fun regardless. Can probably hire one of the empty Stratford flats and watch before the game as some sort of Premium Hammer package.

Yeah I couldn’t believe we were checked and body scanned three times, even had to take my hat off every time. Wtf did they fear we were all bringing in??

And getting out of there afterwards was laughable. Or to be more exact, lamentable. Why close off certain routes through Westfield while leaving others open? Fans are still going through there either bloody way. In order to let the crowds dissipate we can went for a couple of pints in one of the restaurants, stringing them along that we were gonna buy food. Actually ended up getting some nibbles anyway though

Was told to remove my hat 3 times trying to get in, the last time I asked fella if he thought I had a bazooka hidden under it

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I wonder if any farsighted but devious Millwall fans thought a £10 cup ticket a worthwhile investment to get registered as a home supporter on the West Ham database?

I went there for the Olympics in 2012.

Sounds like that was enough.

Aside of the teams in Rio and Rome, Sunday was, by my reckoning, the first time two English teams played a match against each other, who can claim to have had/currently have, a home stadium that's hosted an Olympic games.

And having been to all four of those stadiums, they're all pretty hopeless venues for football matches.

Spurs and Arsenal? Barcelona and Espanyol? Bayern and 1860 Munich?

I don't think Arsenal, Espanyol or 1860 Munich have ever had a home stadium that hosted an Olympic Games.

Rrrrrs twice had a season at the White City which hosted in 1908.

IF , IF QPR ever get a new ground , look at the London stadium ( we paid for) as WHAT NOT TO DO!
long walks, huge stairs, steep stairs, so far from pitch the HUBBLE telescope would struggle, it is an ATHLETICS stadium and fit for shot put, 100m and long jump, that's it,
soul less , did you know 51000 west ham were there? when they scored it was a shriek not a roar.
i saw a few police leaving stratford station and then by ground, but stewards my god! i understood one search point as we got near ground, but another at turnstiles? causing delays, anger, congestion as stewards did another ? many called to police to do something, i was told by a sgt " if i tell them what to do, i will get in trouble" good tell that to an inquiry if there' a hillsbrough!! tw@t
leaving as i went to go back to stratford, walls of stewards almost blocked the way? i told a few to move as 1000s coming out . then we walk uphill via a back route to station, to be held by basically human traffic lights, stop/go signs ready , held by small women? then after all that segregation and holding, searches they let all merge into one to get into station??? i saw no trouble and little history between the clubs, felt no animosity or anything like it. great day out? NO GOOD TEAM effort? YES

Espanyol played at Montjuic for a decade while their new home stadium was being completed (as Barcelona have been doing until recently), while 1860 shared with Bayern at the Olympic Stadium for about 20 years and moved to the Allianz Arena until they went bust. The Moscow Olympic stadium has also been used by Spartak, CSKA and currently Torpedo Moscow.

Arsenal had home Champions League games at Wembley pre-Emirates.

The LA Colosseum has been used for two Olympics and three “football” teams, the Rams, the Raiders and the Chargers.
