Yes, but it was a very hard watch.

| St Oke Methodist Church Away Match Fred on 17:29 - Jan 17 with 1831 views | terryb | It was an awful game to watch, but defensively we were good. We restricted Stoke to one real chance. Did we look like creating anything or scoring? No, not until the last five minutes, where we had more attacks than in the previous 95! Overall, I thought it was on a par with the matches over Christmas/New Year apart from not looking like conceding. | | | |

| St Oke Methodist Church Away Match Fred on 17:13 - Jan 17 by stainrods_elbow | Sounds like I'm in some kind of aesthetic minority, but if that performance is the price you pay to get a 0-0 against a mediocre Championship side who are 15th for their home record, what's the point (metaphorically speaking)? It's an entertainment business! I don't know what depresses me more - that game, or some of the apologists for it here. We're missing, what, 3/4 players? Get real! [Post edited 17 Jan 17:18]

You have a point & credit to those that travel. But I think the team have been fairly entertaining a times this season albeit inconsistent and almost naive at times. Like or not shithousing and dark arts are part of the game now.

We are a mediocre Championship side. You may not like it, but that's what we are.

| St Oke Methodist Church Away Match Fred on 17:38 - Jan 17 with 1639 views | danehoop | If you were Stoke you'd be looking at us thinking 3 point banker, and to be fair that is what we have been for them so many times. We kept shape, were competitive and very solid throughout, matched them for physicality, some flashes of skill here and then and lots of character and a clean sheet. Made it difficult for them to play against us and limited their chances well. Definitely 1 point gained for us which was likely to have been lost with previous teams/managers. Happy with that outcome. Oh, ref was poor as well, which in this case was fine for us! | |

| St Oke Methodist Church Away Match Fred on 17:38 - Jan 17 with 1625 views | hubble | Thought JD was excellent today. He was my MOTM. Constantly heading and clearing balls, marshalling the defence, a massive presence. For me today was all about perspective; I know plenty of fans, certainly on here, are miserable because they saw what they consider to be a shit performance from our team. But I saw it differently; I saw a bloody good performance, not afraid to be ugly, to dig in and be hard to beat. That takes discipline and determination, especially when you know it isn't entertaining, when you know you're not even playing that good (some of 'em), but you're doing what the gaffer has asked you to do. So well done to the defence especially, including Joe Walsh of course, and Hayden and Madsen, and to all the players, for the clean sheet. Certainly not entertaining for some, but in a strange way, I actually enjoyed that game. I had that feeling I think many of you know, around 65/70 minutes that we were going to see this out. And so it proved. An ugly performance. I quite liked it. | |

| St Oke Methodist Church Away Match Fred on 17:42 - Jan 17 with 1565 views | simmo | I know the fashion is to be unanimously positive about everything or believe things have never been worse, but that kind of game shows the nuance of this QPR team. A point and strong defensive performance is a positive, we probably would have taken both of those things before the game started, but the manner of the performance and - once again - the insistence on playing in a way that doesn't suit the players or exploit the opposition, breeds frustration. The way we're approaching games, especially away from home, is terrible to watch. No ambition, no real intent to win, no risk and inevitably no reward. We didn't have a shot on target until the 95th minute, and I think that's 4 total SoT in our last 3 league away games. FIND ANOTHER WAY. | |

I'm not unhappy with an away point. And I would have literally cummed oil if Kone had scored that last chance. But I also watched that match for free on a stream. If I had wasted a Saturday and however much cash it costs to get to and get into Stoke's ground to watch that bullshit, I'd be questioning my commitment to the cause. Thankfully my commitment barely extends past this forum and the occasional home match. So f**k it. Footie is fking shit right now though.

I make it: Chair, Poku, Burrell, Varane, Saito. So there are 5 straight away who would start. Plus Edwards, who is not match fit yet. Is there anyone else? Morrison, maybe. Great point away from home.

What a surprise, here she is. Who cares if people agree with you or not. You have your opinion, others have there's. Now go have your hissy fit somewhere else. It was a crap game, neither team played well. We come away with a point. You are only happy when you have something to moan about. Pathetic [Post edited 17 Jan 17:51]

Chair, Poku, Saito, and Burrell more or less covers it. Instead, as I've said, we played like we were missing half the squad, against a team who, to repeat the truth against JS's pre-match bullshit, are 15th in the Champ for their home form. Obviously, I want us to win points, but today's offering was worse than Burnleyball under Ainsworth - and all it got us was a 0-0. If we'd have lost 2-0, at least JS might have had a chance to get realistic.

| St Oke Methodist Church Away Match Fred on 18:02 - Jan 17 with 1262 views | Watford_Ranger | Fitness again. Injuries are one thing but we had nothing in the tank to really have a go when it was there for us. Kone in a great position with one defender to beat and loads of space but tries to shoot from miles out because he’s knackered. Dembele so ridiculously soft. Absolutely a result we’d have taken and credit to the whole defence and Walsh doing the few things he had to well enough and perhaps it would’ve been a bit different had Cisse been sent off as he should have but still feel it’s points dropped because they were dire. | | | |
