Agree, Adamson is no RB; he may be a DMC, and as we have seen with Bennie, we can try players in other positions.
Mbengue is a standard Champ RB, nothing more. Useful, but maybe he will improve. Dunne can play there too, so we do have some cover. | |

There's zero chance of RND as a loan signing. His wages would be high and why would he sign here as a number two left back after starting all last season as first choice.
Larkeche had a decent season in Scotland, and the plan laat season was to have him as first choice until he was injured. Perhaps club see improvements in him and could be happy with him as a second choice. Esquerdinha for me, his position will end up being further up the pitch for me, if he stays here !!
Two goalkeepers that both on paper look promising..
Maybe having the same impact as signing two decent centre forwards last season.

Jeez. I feel like I’m talking a foreign language.
Said it would be sub-optimal to go on the pre-season tour without any keepers. Club clearly agree because they have acted and signed two just in time. Great. Well done. Does not make the original point wrong though. In fact, it suggests strongly the club share that view (because it’s common sense).
Criticised the club for not telling us about Walsh even after he was pictured at a fun run in Wigan with their squad. I stand by that. It was poor. They have now communicated it, before they have confirmed any signings themselves. I don’t think we should normalise not being informed about coming and goings when they happen.
As I have repeatedly said, I didn’t rate Walsh. Glad to change the keeper pool up. These two seem decent additions. Well done the club.
One can think all those things. It’s not unreasonable. More than one thing can be true at once. My whole original point was merely saying it would be sub-optimal to go on tour and into pre season with no keepers. It doesn’t need people having a pop at people for making any of those points above. I had no issue with the club letting Walsh go (loan or perm). There is some nuance here being deliberately ignored, which is annoying. |
I think I get your gripe
But re Walsh, in this day and age things have a way of getting out before they should. In fact, if you watch the video of the 3 youngsters today, it had Ward sat there by all accounts prior to us announcing him
I am willing to bet QPR were as fuming as you when it leaked about Walsh but not much they can do especially if the Ward transfer was not yet over the line
Best to all enjoy the signing of a quality keeper and a LB that all who seem on paper a good addition and now await a decent CM |  | | |
