No I dont at all, but his profile is exactly the best type for ourselves.
I have my doubts about Larkeche - in terms of his defensive qualities and also his fragility. He can be decent though if he was utilised as a wing back, but his positional sense has been a concern from all I have seen. Happy to be proved wrong though, of course.
Barbet will be earning a lot in Saudi and clearly won't be coming here obviously, but £1 million - even if he was for sale - I doubt very much that would be the price for him.

Scottish Premiership almost similar in terms of championship for many of the teams, has become more competitive recently and not dissimilar in playing style to English football. If our kids are good enough then loans to National League sides are not the answer to development. If true then I would love to see him get a good few goals. I like Bennie and he certainly gives the impression that he is here to succeed. | |

I agree, I feel a League Two minimum loan rule might be helpful. None of these non league stints seem to go anywhere. I guess maybe Alfie Lloyd benefitted. Struggling to think of others. Sinclair Armstrong?
But a good tough loan in a competitive league is the level you want them out before they go out. Otherwise it's hard to take much from it. |  |

I totally agree, you really want your prospects playing as high a level on loan as possible.
However, there are potential advantages of a 'first' loan to the lower leagues. It does get the pup out of their comfort zone and may well work to build some confidence. Being adaptable, living away from home and thus, having to manage yourself for anyone is a good thing at that age. It may also make some appreciate the opportunity they have at the Rangers and spur them on to try harder so that they don't end up flatlining at a level that no one dreams of playing at!
So, I would not rule it our per se, but if a pup isn't progressing up the leagues with loans, then adieu. | |

It depends on the player, the experience they have and level they have reached.
DB is 20, pretty big and strong, with nearly 1000 mins for us and nearly 2000 mins in the A league, as well as 14 U20 caps and 5 goals for Australia including an Asia Cup winner's medal.
Cory Adjetey-Brew is 18 and has 0 minutes.
So DB is very close and needs consistent minutes at a level near our whereas CAB is still on the rank (sorry) and National League is a good level for his first loan. | | | |

We are definitely not short of wide players.
Harvey Vale, Kwame Poku, Paul Smyth, Koki Saito, Ilias Chair, Karamoko Dembele make 6. Dembele is currently out, possibly Saito as well, but we do not need Bennie there. I'm not even convinced it's his best position.
The lad should go out on loan this season. |  | | |
