| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse 08:33 - Dec 21 with 5138 views | numptydumpty | Out of order. Meant the chant that went around "Marti, Marti, you're a c**t" Yes he is no longer a QPR employee but the guy did a half decent job for us. And with a strikeforce over two seasons including the likes of Alfie Lloyd, an even younger Kolli, Frey, Dykes, Sinclair Armstrong have to say he did not have the firepower we have today, Whatever happened for him to be put on gardening leave , most were disappointed. He eventually got the job at Leicester, mainly because they knew they were likely to be hit with ffp charges, an embargo this January and also a likely points deduction and given Leicesters history, a very likely lower half championship finish this season, its a job that he would always have been open to criticism. I know its fun saying getting sacked in the morning for some to opposition managers etc but fans calling him a c**t particularly after he has spoken well of our club. Its classless by fans that did this. Was a brilliant victory yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it but this kind of treatment of a bloke that basically kept us in this league with a very sub standard squad compared to what we seem to be developing now and maybe Stephan is a better manager. However.... I will probably get a few pelters on this, as have done in the past when criticising some of our fans, and I guess people's prerogative but as a club I think we are better than that. Whenever an issue at the club, I would always ask what would Andy Sinton, the club ambassadors view be. Was a shame because everything else yesterday was first class. [Post edited 21 Dec 8:34]

| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 08:38 - Dec 21 with 3235 views | thehat | Yeah no need for that chant but I guess we all have different opinions on his departure. Apart from that, thought the crowd were in good voice yesterday. I suppose a first half of unbelievable high intensity football helped. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 08:39 - Dec 21 with 3225 views | JamesB1979 | Agree. No need for that at all. We would have been in League 1 for 24/25 season without him. And as you say he’s always spoken well about the club and us fans. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 08:41 - Dec 21 with 3204 views | loneranger1 | Would agree that kind of abuse is uncalled for - but from where I was, Lower Loft, couldn't here that chant at all - where was it coming from? I could only hear a lot of 'sacked in the morning' and 'Marti, what's the score?' | | | |

Was aware he had supposedly spoken to WBA, but from rumours his relationship with Nourry was never greatly amicable as we led to believe. Stephan seems to fit more in the mould of a Nourry man, but yes was a shame as under Ainsworth not only were 100% going down to league one, I felt at the time, we could have slid down even further.

| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 09:05 - Dec 21 with 2982 views | Wegerles_Stairs | I was surprised by the venom of that chant but I think the Last Christmas one was the most telling. Fans really did give him their heart and I suppose that's always going to leave them feeling betrayed. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 09:13 - Dec 21 with 2938 views | MrSheen | Couldn’t believe the “You’re a c@@t” was directed at him the first couple of times, I was checking which Leicester player might have earned it. Marti didn’t. The quality of squad now is unrecognisable from what he inherited. Perhaps Nourry deserves more credit than he gets on here for that and calling Marti’s bluff and risking that he could find better, but MC deserves some gratitude too. | | | |

Same as you lone . Didn’t hear the C word from lower loft and I thought mostly it was good natured . Lots of “ Marti Marti what’s the score?” which is the same tune . Let’s not forget that Marti didn’t have the luxury of two strikers who have 14 goals between at the half way point of a season in his time here. No bad feelings from me . We’ve moved on with what looks like an upgrade.

I'm half way up F block and I could hear it coming across from R block. A few of the big gobs at the back of our stand joined in too. I found it shameful. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 09:27 - Dec 21 with 2825 views | BazzaInTheLoft | We've been here before haven't we. 'Marti spoke to West Brom' is this year's 'Sousa went on a messageboard'. I wish him well, but if anyone should benefit from his terrible time at Leicester i'm glad it's us for once. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 09:40 - Dec 21 with 2750 views | Blue_Castello | Agreed absolutely bang out of order, I guess everybody has their own take on Martis demise but he deserves respect for what he did for the club, I think he was probably brave enough to disagree with Nourry and that was only going to end one way as has been said before CN is a bit of a control freak, I'm the boss we're doing it my way end of. Amazed people couldn't hear it in the Lower loft it started with just a few in R block but as the game went on it seemed to gain momentum and more joined in, it was embarrassing. Cifuentes did a very good job for us in his first season, the second wasn't going so well but he had a much weaker squad than we have now and if I remember correctly there were quite a few injuries to contend with. For me a genuine shame he didn't get a better reception, it's another part of our very rocky road history, we've moved on and I obviously loved the performance and the win yesterday and look forward to the current team developing. It was very loud and clear from behind us in R Block in the Ellerslie where I was. I was just as disappointed as Numpty about it and the first time yelled “Shut Up” but it was futile as there were so many doing it and so loudly. Perhaps this is where the Anti-Marti Twitter following that harasses Clive have their main residence. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 10:14 - Dec 21 with 2589 views | Toast_R | Very didsapointing to hear. I like Marti and without his intervention, the club would almost certainly have been dipping down into League One. Absolutely no issue with the bloke trying to find work elsewhere if it had become clear he was no longer wanted by the people above him. The club would'nt be where it is now if not for him and a section of our fanbase need to be fully aware of that. Probably broke his heart hearing that aimed at him, but on the other hand, he's probably wise enough to know football can be exreremely fickle. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 10:25 - Dec 21 with 2504 views | TwoHalves | Wonder how many of the baying mob applauded him when he took what turned out to be his final lap of honour towards the end of last season? Conduct unbecoming on Saturday IMO. | | | |
| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 10:42 - Dec 21 with 2384 views | FDC | It's a shame, and didn't see it coming, probably because my main connection to QPR is this message board. I actually felt sorry for Marti watching it yesterday because that Leicester team is clearly full of absolute weapons, must be a difficult dressing room. And from Twitter last night their supporters clearly expect them to be going up again this season. | | | |

| Fantastic win but the Cifuentes Abuse on 11:09 - Dec 21 with 2236 views | Dorse | John Terry? Fair enough. Marti Cifuentes? On what planet is that acceptable? Think of the other managers we've had over the last 20 years: I can certainly think of a couple that I would put into the c-word category but Marti isn't one of them! He came in, we improved, he left. Since then, we've replaced him and we've improved again: what exactly is he supposed to have done? He did his job and we loved him for it but his new team just got reamed out and we're the ones sounding butt-hurt? What am I missing? | |

R Block and Upper Loft next to them, second minute in and a couple of other times. They tend to be the younger crowd, on Twitte, etc, where everything is black or white, no grey. Very poor show and showing their immaturity and general lack of life experience. 'Marti, what's the score?' Was done in a fun way, and the whole stadium joined in.

Noticed the Upper Loft SA Road end singing a couple of games ago. A few flags have gone up, mirroring the other side, and quite a few standing on the sides. Good to have other areas besides R Block belting out the songs.

For that we should be thankful because it looks like keeping us up has given us the platform to strive for something a bit better than just staying up. Thank you Marti. Glad we beat you but thank you Marti.

Especially if it's going to come from the absolute whoppers that brought you 'Martí you're a xxxx' as well as pro-Redknapp and Barton chants. There was a geezer just a couple of rows in front of me who spent the majority of the game giving the linesman absolute dogs abuse, with all the swearwords you could think of... with his young daughter right next to him. How angry do you have to be to still be getting red in the face with vitriol when 4-0 up??

What are the flags in that corner? Can’t read them from my seats. I noticed they got the noise going in a quiet spell before the first Birmingham goal. On Cifuentes, it’s amazing to recall that when he got here, the boys on the burning deck included Asmir Begovic, Ozzy Kakay, Morgan Fox, Andre Dozzell and Sinclair Armstrong, and he kept us up with that motley crew and what he could find on Freecycle (Andersen, Hayden, Frey and whatsisname from Wolves). And he’s a c*** now?

That sounds like Mr Angry in the lower R block close to the corner. Seen him escorted out at least once!
