For God's Sake Go 17:05 - Dec 19 with 34584 viewsLblock

Pick up your icebox, have a sh@t in it, take all your usual post match drivel and just go man.

The Knighthood needs to be taken back off of "Sir" Les as well. He's not fit for purpose.

Club is a shambles.
It's a shambles presided over by the current lot.
The transfers are a disgrace, all the Eze money wasted putting together a rudderless, clueless and downright weak as pi$$ physically squad. We look totally unfit, devoid of any tactical nouse and more than ever you must be able to smell the relegation that has been stenching around this club for a few years. Bentford Sleeper Agent Warburton the final piece in the jigsaw.

Do hope the Clubshop has got lots of plastic bedsheets and quilts in stock for Christmas.... the bedwetter club will have grown considerably by the time 2021 kicks in.

Season 2020/21... was going to be the one where all the prudence kicked in wasn't it? FFP like a millstone for loads of other clubs and a really weak Division???
Well I've only seen one team weak, looking a beaten rabble with no belief, no battle and zero bottle. They play in hoops and are shameful.

I'll retire back to my self imposed exile... the usuals will be on digging it and giving it the here he is again.. "Ooooooooh... you're never here when we win" --- right enough, we don't that often.

6 wins in 38 is it?
Over 100 goals conceeded in a calendar year

But just who'll do the job they cry? Plenty, it's just I wouldn't trust the current leadership to pick a nipple out of a barrel of boobs - clueless w@nkers to a man.

League One Roadmaps.. £3.85, get 'em while they're hot.

See ya

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

From what I remember, none of us had a issue with any of these signing when they were made. I certainly didn’t.

Bonne aside, all these signing were successful elsewhere weren’t they?

Cameron is past it - why haven't we signed a decent box-to-box midfielder? Every other team in this division seems to recruit one. Albert is clearly a pointless signing. Jamal Lowe is exactly the kind of player you'd hope we'd be after but I'm not going to slag our strikers off too much as they get zero service. Carroll plays it around prettily on the half-way line but does nothing further up the field. The full backs simply aren't good enough, particularly when they're playing as wing backs like today.

I like Dickie and Willock; that's about it. Dom Ball was our 'playmaker' in the second half - that says it all. Ferdinand is just as culpable as Warbuton but no doubt it'll only be the latter who walks tonight.

Shout. Think Les fancies the managers job, give him a shot.

What makes you think Sir Les wants the job?

I was under the impression that he doesn’t want to be a manager but might be wrong.

No-no and thrice no.

How much longer have we got to witness this shyte before someone pulls the trigger?

We did manage to get one shot on target today so I guess that's a bonus and something to savour.

Carry on week after week as we get depressingly worse and In a couple of Months time guess what?

Do you blokes seriously think league One is a not too bad option?

C'mon FFS.

We have to stay in this league whatever it takes.

There’s a £2.5 mill wage cap in League One which would mean goodbye to any remaining decent players.

There’s also an outside chance of a wage cap of £18 mill in this league next season, which should make us more able to compete or at least stop the management using that as a perennial excuse.

How we handle the second half of this season is critical.

Senior squad restricted to 20, not much room for 3 keepers unless one is very young and very cheap .

I've heard different so will agree to disagree on the Warnock thing and no point going over it again as it's been done 100's of times

100 % agree with the recruitment though, Its been poor again and we've got too much inexperience in the side.

Some bizzare decisions aswell, signing Adoma because he was wearing a QPR top on twitter, 4 year contracts for Kakay and Niko and not signing a decent central midfielder.

Something seriously went wrong during lockdown and we've never recovered. Looksike there is a massive split in the side aswell

Club is slowly dying and has been for years.

Changing the manager won't make a difference bar a possible new bounce to keep us safe but ultimately we need to make massive changes at the top.

Can’t argue with that
I’m actually glad people are seeing the short comings of the board, DOF & coaching set up
The club is rotten and going down , this time will see us stay in league one for a very, very long time

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Yeah, I'd like all those signings too but Warburton has already intimated that there is little in the pot to play with and the odd loan is all that we can expect.

We need to find a manager who can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Who that is I don't know but it certainly ain't Warburton.

Big ask for any manager without some new signings. Particularly if we’re expecting the new manager to turn it around within a few months.

A big part of the problem is the signings we made in the summer were always unlikely to hit the ground running. Mainly due to lack of experience at this level. We need some of them to step up here or any manager change will be like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic.

McClaren signed Cameron so I don’t think we can lay that one on Warburton but I was impressed at time signing a former US international captain from the Premiership but it also makes my point that we need to make our own and not rely on 35 year olds.

Totally agree with everything else you have said, but again, it’s not an argument against long term planning.

There is a salary cap in League One , its way below what we pay now .

Which would suit our owners

We need some sort of change at the club, I wouldn't be adverse to Ramsey coming back in to try and steady the ship if needs be. We are sleepwalking into League 1 with a manager who looks devoid of ideas and know hes gone in May anyway, time to get rid and get these players hearing a different voice and ideas and get us going forwards.

Utter shambles, and to those saying it may be a good idea to get relegated, I say you are nuts and theres literally nothing to suggest we could do a Leicester or a Soton, nothing. More likely do a Pompey.

Doubtful. If Sir Les really wanted to manage the club, don’t you think he would’ve taken the chance during any of the umpteen managerial changes that have taken place in recent years?

Chris Ramsey is an interesting shout but if I were him I wouldn’t touch the job with a barge pole after the way he was treated by some of our supporters during his stint as manager.

That's because results were poor under his tenure. No doubt that he is a top coach though and if it all went tits up again he would always be welcome in charge of our youth.

I doubt Ramsey would turn down a 2nd chance.

I remember a similar interview, but it was about 7 managers ago so I reckon he would might have changed his mind given he had all those opportunities to make himself manager.

I even think he was caretaker manager in that period too. What better chance would have had?

Ok in that case do you have a source as I can’t find anything online?

It seems odd that he would wand to get into management but never step in as caretaker manager at the very least.

To be fair the owners might feel (rightly or wrongly) that Les has proven his worth with the way Eze was signed, nurtured and sold for decent money. That’s his job and suggesting that he should be made to manage the team is ridiculous.

Yes it was definitely a few managers ago.

Given the choice of being manager within his role of DOF or losing his job as DOF I think hed take the job.

I dont know the answer, but I think something needs to change somewhere. L1 would be unbearable.

I’ve bored everyone to death with this before but Southampton, Leicester, and Burnley were all in League One a decade ago and all had to make the same decisions we are making about facilities, youth, and sustainability.

To be clear, this is not a vote of confidence in Warburton, just a vote of confidence in the path we are trying to take.

The problem with being in league one is that our ever eroding fan base will be hit even further when Brentford join Chelsea and Fulham next season.
Southampton and Leicester are one club towns. No competition for supporters.
We will be f**ed if we end up there.
I want Warburton to succeed but he's not.
He can't survive 4 wins by mid January .
He will be gone. I'd stick Eustace in charge for a bit and see how it pans out. Its got to be worth a go!!
