I don't know about here in the UK but it's a real problem in the US and colleagues of mine who deal with them really suffer with this. A lot of it is to do with the nature that employees there are so unprotected compared to us and they are schit scared of losing their job so it becomes a very toxic environment.
As with a lot of things, stuff from the US then follows on over here. |
Interestingly, Google just published a study called "project Aristotle' looking into what makes their most successful teams successful. It wasn't that those employees were paid more, or that they were all 'killer' geniuses but rather it was down to what they call Psychological Safety, those employees felt able to take risks, share ideas and make mistakes without fear of negative reprisals.
Treat people well and with respect and you get a reciprocal response.

Misconduct, there must be some great stories out there.
Though I am now the very image of respectability when younger if I didn't like a job and thought I was getting taken advantage of, I would try to find a new or interesting way of getting fired.
The one place I could not get fired from was PC World and damn did I try. However the best one I can recall is I used to work with a lad who ran our goods out that had flames tattooed to his ahem manhood like go faster stripes.
He was really proud of it, and I when I say proud he would willingly show it to anyone, including 'mostly' female couriers. Our MD walked in one day to check something in despatch and found a DPD driver on her knees and obviously got the complete wrong end of the stick.

Seriously though, are clubs allowed to report "dubious" behaviour to the FA, or do they only act on reports from the official match observer? Not that Norwich supporters would accept we've not been involved!
