On a positive note, shout out to the 4500 who went and made this sound like a home game for large chunks of the time

Fair comment .

But where I’d disagree with you Brian is we have given the ball away just us much in every game in the last 2 months but you me and most of everyone else has said we’ve played well.

Today our mistakes have been well and truly punished ..they don’t usually (they do occasionally of course) . So win games and people say we have played well and we have . Today most fans will look at the score and think we’ve been garbage . We haven’t .
Not so good in the second half admittedly and they have deserved their win .
But come on it’s not being terrible . They are simply more clinical than us on the break .
Putting the 2 squads together and putting emotion to one side whose would you choose ?

As I said previously, you have to take care of the football and that is a huge lesson from today. The 6th goal just sums it up in a nutshell .

So the post was correct in my eyes .

And just to add , usual people on here moaning and bitching and getting their little ‘QPR losing erections’, but looking at the amount of times they’ve posted during the match , they can’t be watching it properly so you know …mute and carry on

I do agree with a lot of that, Mart, and I'm not being angry or anything, just trying to analyse it honestly.

Annoying, but let’s win the next four league matches and we’re top 8.

You know we're going to lose the next two games gauranteed. This result has the hallmark of an absolute confidence busting embarrassment. You rest the players, get thumped and then start throwing on the players you wanted to rest anyway. It's an abomination. From the very textbook of fckups that QPR have been preaching from for more years than I care to remember.
4500 fans went, and got this?

F**k the FA Cup. We'll never, ever have any real success in this competition.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

I'm calling Marti out on this , he should have brought on 3 subs on at halftime. Its no good saying we need a culture change when he does things like! I like the bloke don't get me wrong but he made a massive mistake with his subs.

Feel more or less the same way mate

Really not bothered.

It just reinforces the massive gap between a shit premier league side and a mid table Champs side.

Marti done the right thing playing half a side, they need a fckin rest whether we like it or not.

At the very least Madsen and Ashby should have been gone. At 3-2 it was very possible to pull back and Dunne and Morgan or Colback would have given us a chance.

Agreed, this is a big kick in the bowloks confidence wise. Embarrassing. As soon as the ticket sales went over 4k, it was always going to be a bad day. We are not allowed nice things remember....

That starting XI though, what were you thinking........

A winnable game at Plymouth, not guaranteed of course

It's weird isn't it? Genuinely curious how/ why he made the subs when he did...

First half or bits of it showed promise. At the end of the day we need to be in the championship and so some of that team selection makes sense. If we lost players and still got walloped. I know some will say that's illogical or defeated buts realistic. I think Edwards got a game at the back as Dunne is going back to rb. Ashby has to go. Morgan is so far ahead of Madsen but only 18 so maybe a bit of a rest to see if Madsen could get going. Sadly he couldn't so, Morgan starts next game and colback now goes ahead if Madsen in terms of coming off the bench. Good to see JCS get 90 minutes. Well done to all who travelled up. We move on

Plymouth currently going hard and holding Brentford at the legoset. We've no hope there..

Terrible result but hopefully a one off and our good league form continues.
QPR are quite capable of going on another bad run after a result like this though.

and we are just as capable as going on another undeafted run.

There will an inquest and we have a week to sort ourselves out. Sounds like Marti will have to take Ashby out of the firing line.

Onwards and upwards.

We’re one of the form teams in the league. Losing with a weakened side at Leicester doesn’t really make a difference to our chances of getting something at Plymouth or any other team in our dross league.

We didn’t get that outcome when we got beaten 3-0 by Swansea (in the league with a full strength team) - quite the oposite. Don’t get me wrong, I’m far from happy - just glad the defeat wasn’t in the league.

An element of one of those days where the score does not reflect the game. Nearly every shot they had went in Ashby will have recurring nightmares on this one, out did Fox v Portsmouth for ineptitude. I dont know if visibility was as bad on the pitch as it was on screen but we were very slow to react at times

Edwards was well off it. Tough first game maybe. I've defended Madsen but that was as bad as his been but lets be frank all Leicesters goals down to poor defending and positioning from all of the back 4/5.

It's interesting that people on here are slamming MC for changing the defence/goalie, but the person responsible for three of those goals wasn't a change. Mr Ashby.

He is weak in the Championship, but gets away with it, and in this game he was punished. Dunne will replace him next week.

No and as I say , it was a fair comment by yourself .

F*cking hate losing games as much as the next fan and will have the proper arse ache for a couple of hours …but a few days ago I called the MC can’t win today and I stand by that .

6 shots on target and 6 goals is brutal. We made mistakes and got severely punished. Leicester deserved their win but the scoreline is harsh beyond belief.
I think some get carried away about our recent form too. We have done great …but the Championship is absolute bilge. So although I agree with Ned that we could easily go on a bad run now , I hope that really that keeps our feet on the floor and we learn from it and improve as a team.
Time will tell.

West Brom, in top 6 of championship losing 4-1 now at Bournemouth so let’s all take a deep breath.
We ain’t great but today in the much bigger picture it’s not the end of the world .

The 4500 were and are magnificent too. Tremendous support .

No excuses about the result we were well beaten. Looking at the first goal you do think given the fog should the game got called off? Easy for me to say sitting at home not like the 4.5 Rs fans who travelled. Be interested in view of people at the game the visibility looked terrible.

Marti actually made 6 changes from the Luton game, including the keeper, both central defenders, in midfield, and at centre forward, of which perhaps one (for me) was justified. Chair aside, Nardi, Dunne, Morgan and Frey are currently our best players. I call that managerially irresponsible and the result predictable (and interestingly 50% of the fanbase on my poll tonight currently agree).

Poll: Keep our 12 game pts return going, and it's a 73 pt finish! Playoffs?

No great surprise, although the scoreline just reflects the difference between PL and Championship finishing.

Ashby should be having nightmares over his mistakes.
A decent 20 minutes spell needs to extended to 90 when league action resumes
