| ELO theres a big blue nose approaching-birmingham match thread on 22:13 - Dec 9 by hubble | I thought Madsen was the Don tonight. Ran the show at times. I thought Varane's defensive work was superb too. It's taken a bit of time, but the manager has shown faith in these two together and I think it's starting to pay off. |
Concur That block tackle on Dykes left everything in there and more. He has totally be the biggest turnaround since Paul Furlong. Hats off to him

I think the manager saw that early and Madsen is almost his voice on the pitch. He will implement the game plan. The turn around in his defensive play is remarkable. At times he just bullies people |
Totally. You could see right from the off that Stephán had a boner for Madsen.
| ELO theres a big blue nose approaching-birmingham match thread on 22:52 - Dec 9 with 2122 views | Geoff78 | It was an impressive performance up until the 80th minute, although we should really have put the game to bed by then. We were well organised and worked hard all over the pitch. Then we started giving the ball away, sitting too deep and maybe the Brum subs worked. We really needed another body in midfield to give us some control. But in the end who cares. In a three game week I assume there'll have to be changes for Saturday so it will be hard against a top team to maintain momentum. But lets just enjoy now! | | | |

Please, and I beg you. Dont be offended, but please, I mean, if you were there? But I don't understand the premise of original question

The karma for having about nine men encroaching in the box when Wells missed that last minute penalty for one of the greatest comebacks a few years ago is continuing to whack them in the face at Loftus Road

I can’t remember the last time Loftus Road went off like that, it was incredible! Under the lights, absolutely perfect, it’s why I go to QPR. Love it!!! We deserved that. Was absolutely gutted when they equalised, but we clearly wanted it more. Agree with all the positive words about Madsen. Two things I noticed - A few times he lost the ball the aggression in his attempts to recover was impressive. I’ve not seen that side to his game before. Also, a brilliant first time back heel to Saito (I think?) in the second half. He also did a few other lovely first time passes. Really enjoying his football and really pleased he’s found the confidence to play. A classic night at Loftus Road, thank you Rangers! [Post edited 10 Dec 8:56]

And if my eyes and ears didn't deceive me he put in another challenge a couple of minutes later on the other side that reverberated around the ground. Whatever they're feeding him keep it up.

Kone had an opportunity and then what a hit Kieran !!! That was incredible..... The whole Rangers support collectively lost the plot.... And nice to wave good bye to more brummies leaving loftus road with their tails well and truly down !!!!! UNLUCKY !!!!@!@

Yes looked like Dykes was a bit studs up in that challenge, fair play to Madsen he didn’t shirk it & won the ball… 👏🏻

Yes that still rankles with me as it would have been the third time I would have seen us come back from four down to draw. No doubt if we had VAR it would have been retaken but the match officials should have called it without any need for help. It was a huge frustration when Brum scored with their only effort on target but thankfully we got a rare 96th minute winner to rapidly change the mood. I notice Coventry couldn't beat 10 man Preston but then discovered they haven't won any of their last 24 league visits to Deepdale. Weird how clubs have bogie grounds when it is just grass at the end of the day so it's not just us afflicted by phobia's at certain venues.
| ELO theres a big blue nose approaching-birmingham match thread on 00:03 - Dec 10 with 1390 views | stevec | Most professional performance from us in a long time. Full backs were both superb, did a job on two very useful widemen. Centre backs in total control, our two up front really give defenders a load to think about. Saito and Smyth were very good, Varane stuck at it throughout and Madsen is something else, moves the ball like nothing we’ve had for many years. Birmingham are a decent outfit and we restricted them to possibly one shot on goal. You can’t beat the buzz you get on a night like that, well done Rangers. | | | |

RND has been a very good signing. I grew up on Clement/Gillard, Dawes/Neill; I love a solid no-frills full-back.

That's what Cifuentes did, and why Madsen is doing so well under Stephan, is that the game is in front of him, he is not having to be back to goal or to press too much so he can read the game and step across, and frankly he has the best football intelligence on the pitch. Playing like a Rolls Royce now.

I’m beginning to be a bit concerned that we might start seeing some interest in Madsen from other clubs. At the moment he’s completely invaluable to the team.
| ELO theres a big blue nose approaching-birmingham match thread on 00:24 - Dec 10 with 1274 views | Beckenhamhoop | Tonight’s game reminded me of a game we played 15 years ago against Derby. A last minute equalizer from Jamie Mackie to draw 2-2. The games were very different but it was the never say die, determination, belief and team spirit that struck me as being similar. | | | |
| ELO theres a big blue nose approaching-birmingham match thread on 00:35 - Dec 10 with 1223 views | CopenhagenRs | What an ending to the match! In true QPR fashion, it looked like we’d thrown it all away at the end – but then Morgan, fresh from England’s U20s, produces a stunner past the England U21 keeper in stoppage time. What a talent we’ve got there. I can see Morgan bossing the midfield sometime in the future. And a quick honourable mention again for Smythie – he’s as quick as Burrell and has an incredible fighting spirit that lifts the whole team. He’s starting to look like Jamie Mackie reborn. | | | |

The 2 full backs were excellent. Didn't allow either Brum winger time and space to do damage. On the one hand it was a shame Mbengue went off as he had Gray in his pocket. On the other hand it was the prerequisite to that moment from Morgan. HQ went off like a bomb.

Why we sit through hours of dross, freezing our bollocks off . Why our amazing away support spends hours and a fortune travelling …for those moments . They don’t come by very often …but when they do, oh how very special they are. It would have been a travesty for us not to have won that game. The energy, the drive , the balls to go again after the equaliser . If we had drawn that game they still would have been clapped off . Because they wanted it . We could see it . RND ..magnificent . Best game of the season by Jimmy. Madsen the best player on the pitch . The front 4 dangerous with and without the ball . The work rate was incredible . Who on Earth was that bunch who showed up at Norwich less that 2 weeks ago ? Chalk and cheese . As you can tell , I’m still buzzing. Yes of course …we’ll probably get pumped on Saturday…because it’s what we do. But as JS said, let’s enjoy tonight . That noise and madness as Morgan’s strike hits the net . There is nothing better . Edit: and what a cross by Koki Saito !!! Worth going for that alone . An undefendable delivery . Incredible [Post edited 10 Dec 1:28]
